They are quite magnetic, aren't they!
What finally drew you in? for me it was listening to uncle john's band over and over after going to a show last summer. There's just so much music to go through, it doesn't matter where you start

grateful dead is great if you have a head full of acid and on a show. I don`t like their studio albums but its a great live\jam band.

Well they are certainly great with a head full of acid and at a show...
but I personally love them without acid, and just listening to a recording as much as I do at a show...
OK maybe not as much, but they still rock, even without the acid.

Haven't personally had a taste of acid, just yet...but they're certainly enjoyable semi-sober  or any other which way you happen to be listening to them

Kinda the same way with me but i have allways liked the Dead for years anyway...I think it was the steady dose of Shroomery pics vol 1 that got me all interested again...Othwer than Jerrys guitar and vocals the bass is outstanding at times
