I have two fruiting tubs that just finished their first flush. 260g dry so far!

That's pretty good on 2 tubs! about a qp is average across multiple cultures and varieties IME... some do better than others (as with any tek/tub) how much spawn per tub? Have a 3qt/gal/gal sub outperforming a gal/gal/gal sub (spawn/black kow/coir) in time to pin and even pinset... same culture, coir, BK, spawned back to back and across from one another at the same height in the closet

I just spawned 3 tubs last night with 2 liters per 650g brick. I sped up the hydration process by letting it sit a few mins, breaking up the dry center, misting it, re-mixing so it was even. So total was like 2.01 liters.

I bust bricks while water boils for more even hydration, then leave it sit til just before use when I mix the entire batch thoroughly... I doubt there a big enough difference in qts and liters to distinguish that 2l=2.11338qt, but for those interested and unaware

All 7 spawned 11/26, slightly too wet so been pouring off puddles while trying to prevent the center from drying... these are really fairly finicky on moisture: the edges filling in prior to the center is fairly indicative of excess moisture ime with them...

semi-validation... I'm literally watching pinset encroach on the centers: been lightly misting just the center every 30-45 minutes with a fan passively drawing air out of the closet...



Only 2 pictured, but the other 3 are doing it as well... already dubtubbed the one from last night, and another further along I'm using for control...

Spawned these 9 days ago, they seem to be alright so far.  5 quarts of spawn and a brick of coir in each.  There was a lot of condensation on the lids today so I dried them out.  Will update once they start pinning.
