Also this guy LC.

But I'm not here to change the minds of those that disagree. That would be arrogant and a waste of time.

What are you doing Ran-D to help the world?

I will go strict vegan for a while because I saw some stats about it which I agree with>>>>>

Judging from those stats I have helped out a FUCKING TON, hehehe!

But sometimes I eat non-vegan things, whenever I eat non-vegan things I feel bad though, like I am letting the world down.  I know, probably a stupid sentiment to have, but I want my brothers kiddo and several other kids I know who are very young to have a decent home to live on since we don't have a planet B now.  I recycle, my nike shoes are supposedly vegan which means no glues/dyes/etc from animals, I wear mostly synthetics and try my best to avoid wearing leather like on some of the jeans I have (levis tag).

Anyway, just eating vegan for a few days a week is helping save this place, you don't have to go all-in, but just consider doing it a few days a week if you want.

Yeah it's fucked. 1234go is right though. Did you build your house with recycled materials? Grow your food/buy from whatever whatever only? Waste free etc? You have a car?

Like I said it's fucked. We're all buying in but it's not like there's any choice.

You at least have to buy into societal norms until you can save up and establish yourself separate from it which is what I plan to do. Otherwise join a community that is established and living sustainably, like in coastal mexico or some hippy thing somewhere. Yeah right.

Theres nothing we can do except separate ourselves entirely from it. Until then, you and I perpetuating the problem.

So we're pooling our money together and buying a shroomery plot of land right?

We'll need women.

I don't think that global warming will cause any major problems. Coastal areas might be underwater, but those are mainly owned by ridiculously rich people who can afford to either build a sea wall or move and rebuild.

Even if Nevada was 25 degrees warmer than it is now, people would still live there just fine, they'd just have better AC. Look at people in the middle east, and they get by just fine with a tiny fraction of what we have here. Farming won't be affected either. It can be done at scale in doors even in some terrible worst case scenario that won't happen anyway.

And if we really care, we just can just pull the CO2 back out of the atmosphere again using massive machines purpose built for doing so. But we won't need to because nothing really bad will happen except some beach front property getting flooded.

The planet has been both warmer and colder than it is now and life did just fine.

Stole the words right out of my mouth.

Yeah I tend to think life overall will be fine. A bunch of individual species are doomed though.

My honest thoughts...

I think the Earth has its own 4 seasons.. winter spring summer fall. It seems like we've been in the spring season for quite some time now..

We should still be doing more to reduce our footprint. A lot more. It will be fine but that doesn't mean the ecosystem will remain sustainable. There are over 7 billion people on the planet and short of nearly perfected weather manipulation, which surely has its own footprint regardless, it can't stay fine forever. Sure maybe people can survive in desert states with extremely elevated temperatures but that doesn't meant everyone can. Grandma, your kids, poor doggo, everyone is fucked. As the temperature rises and salination increases, phytoplankton will be increasingly effected, the way water interacts with the continents will change. The sea floors will shift at increasing rates and as these many changes begin to surface it will increase things like volcanic activity, which is already effected by the electromagnetic reductions and increasing tectonic instability. The problem is not it being hot and if we can deal with that. It's how our ecosystem will react over time as we allow things to get worse. And I think it's the plan. It explains the underground bunkers and cities that do in fact exist. It explains why there are so many, and why they aren't doing anything about it. There's too much population for the next big steps in human evolution and it's easier if we let us kill ourselves while we fund their projects for the privileged .

The planet is getting warmer, and it is our fault. But what isn't our fault is the sun and the reduction of the magnetosphere. Grand minimum means less solar activity, less solar activity means it's not releasing energy in the same fashion, this a more even dispersal. A reduced magnetosphere means the planet is more susceptible to incoming cosmic particles and just overall energy/heat from the sun.  What I'm saying is, it's a shit time to be fucking up the planet, but us fucking up the planet might be the only thing keeping agriculture afoot. It's a crazy time to be alive

You don't go camping and leave garbage all over the place . I'd tell someone to clean up after themselves. Yet somehow as a society we've decided it's fine if Big Business takes a truckful 50' away and dumps it just as long as it's labelled in double-speak and we don't have to think about it.

Lol it's crazy how I still got the cliche answers I always hear.

I've already said the easiest thing anyone can do is know where your money is going. Don't support Dole, don't support McDonalds, dont even fucking shop at Gap (Fisher family destroyed the redwood forests in California).

I'll say it again, I am not talking about temperature changes!!! I am talking about toxic drinking water, getting cancer from fucking breathing air, mass deforestation and countless species going extinct daily.

Smog is worse for your lungs than smoking cigarettes. That is not a money grab, that's just life.

Unless you're a redneck. Then it is customary to leave shotgun shells and Coors light cans scattered all over your free National Forest campsite. Cuz 'Murica.

I think we are reaching our population limits with the way governing is done.  The way of life people want demands too many resources.  As well as war is always likely when Governments feel pressure.

The world has always had changes in temperature and climate.  We're simply influencing these changes uncontrollably.  Then Trump and other old farts see things in awfully dumb ways that make no real sense.  Sorry but God doesn't exist to control weather.  Try reading books that are not fiction.  Watch something other than propaganda.  Don't put all your hope in one philosophy, a weak one at that.

I think climate change is inevitable and we cannot reverse it. We can only try to be clean as possible.

They say this was the hottest summer in the Boston since 1882 or something. So that means it was just as hot in the 1800s?

We are OBVIOUSLY going through cycles here. We need to not focus on climate change and focus on population control until we can have no man or woman hungry or homeless.

The government and it's people will never be able to reverse any of this shit unless they ban poor stupid people from having more babies.

If a population grows beyond what can be sustained by available resources, the population declines. This will happen and is a natural proces.

To me its never really clear what the environmentalists actually want in the long run. What is the plan once the air and oceans are clean? Will there be a status quo enforced? Will there be a limit on the number of people allowed on this world?

What is the definition of proper earth maintenance? Getting cleaner and cleaner technologies so we can fit even more people? Are species allowed to go extinct on this clean and perfect world? Why should we have mass extinction events? Nature is not in balance, its a constant struggle for dominance, thats how resilient lifeforms come to be

Am I getting through to anyone?
