I believe the President also pays for food and household items. The chefs however are paid by the government at large.

Please, no fat shaming. BTW, Trump's doctor said he needed to lose 10-15 lbs. I wouldn't call that being a "fat fuck".

He is definitely more than just 10-15 pounds overweight:

I'm not trying to fat shame, but Trump can't even take care of his own body, much less the entire country...

Japan now wants to see evidence that Iran was behind the Saudi attack.

Disputing Trump Claims, Japan Says No Evidence Iran Was Behind Saudi Attack

"We are not aware of any information that points to Iran," said Japanese defense minister Taro Kono.

That's doesn't mean Iran wasn't responsible.  It just means if you don't have evidence, you don't get to make believe who was responsible.

I am in a minority on the shroomery, as I frequently defend the opposing side when they have a point about something or when my side make believes something about them.  I also attack my side if I think they're wrong.  People here get very confused by that and think it means I prefer the other side.

I don't think you need to be the next American Ninja Warrior to be president, but you should be able to be honest about your body. It just comes down to honesty.

I saw that earlier. All of the news networks are beating the drums of war. Even though they aren't directly saying that Trump should bomb Iran, they are certainly building consent.

Interestingly, the production that was blown up represents about 5% of crude production. It should be a boon for US producers.

Anything that effects pocket books becomes a media interest.

I use about 2 gallons of gas a year.  I don't even pay for that, too busy paying for a dog mom bought me.

I agree that you don't need to be the next Ninja Warrior to be president, but you should be able to care of your own body.

It's one thing if you have a genetic condition of some sort that causes weight problems, but Trump has no excuse for being so overweight.

Again, not trying to insult anyone, but if Trump can't even be bothered to stay in shape, it does raise serious questions about his ability to take care of an entire country.

I'm not saying overweight people can't be great leaders, because they can. But Trump's inability to keep his weight under control does little to inspire confidence in his leadership.

Compare Trump's physique to Mitt Romney. They are the same height and the same age (1 year apart). One of these dudes his a healthy 73 year old, the other is not:

I think Trump being overweight is the least of our problems and very probably a great hope.

Very true, I just chalk it up to one more thing he has going against him as a leader.

I think another problem that everyone is overlooking, isn't just the fact that the fat fuck is a fat fuck. He's also old as fuck. The US has, on average, hands down the oldest leaders. The people in the US government are all frickin' geriatrics. We've got an average age in the high 60s low 70s. Compared to the rest of the world, where the average government is maybe 50.

There's an age issue as well. Nobody in the US government has a personal investment in anything past the next 20 years, because nobody is gonna last more than 20 years.

Interestingly, this phenomenon also occurred in the USSR in the 70s and the 80s. Right before the wheels fell off.

It seems, by any measure, that Iran is at best indirectly responsible. They probably provided the drone or the money, but I doubt they hit the launch button.

Again, bit like how we provided the missiles and bombs that SA used to blow up school children in Yemen. We didn't hit the launch button.

Do we have trump to thank for the (very welcomed) pushback we're seeing from countries like Japan and France?  I mean that trump has, by most honest accounts, somewhat alienated what used to be staunch allies, creating an opening for the direct dissent we're now hearing about.

Or I'm just not remembering such open resistance to the US storytelling of the past.  Thats entirely possible.

Either way, I love it.  Put your money where your mouth is and show the evidence.  Or don't and be further marginalized on the world stage. I'd much rather have a broad coalition of support to 'share the burden', but only if such support is based in reality rather than yellow cake story time with friends.

I definitely agree that this is a huge problem. There needs to be an age limit. We should never have 70 year olds running for office.

Trump is 73. He would be almost 80 years old by the end of his second term (if is heart doesn't give out first)

That is way too fucking old for such a high stakes, relentless job.

I think there's been a pattern of deception since well before Trump, but perhaps Trump is the right president for them to finally say they're getting tired of it.

Oh definitely re: pattern of deception.  Hence my yellow cake reference.  But it seems that allies always took our stories as fact without open questioning unless, again, I'm just not remembering such instances of public dissent.

Either way, it suits me fine that proof is being required in this instance, for backing by japan and France, at least. Public discussion of burden of proof is a good thing.

Not always allies simply buying our stories.

The last "major" event that precipitated conflict was 9/11, which was a direct attack. Under Article 5 of NATO, every NATO country is required to respond to an attack against one country. Basically the rest of the world was obligated, by treaty, to help out the US.

Article 5 has been invoked a grand total of one time in history, by the US, post 9/11. donald has railed against article five repeatedly, with claims such as "we'd have to defend some shit tier European country if they were attacked and that's not fair".

Won't happen, Trump doesn't want war with anyone. I think he's actually opposed to war in general and has made several statements to that effect in the past. He tends to fire the hawks in his cabinet, too.
