I don't think the show was particularly edgy compared to her standup.


It had its moments, but it never really hit its stride.  I'm surprised that nobody's suffered any fallout from Drawn Together though.  That show could actually inculcate racism.

You only think it’s the left eating itself because your information sources say people like Beto ORourke and CNN are part of the left. The liberals, center right and center left alike, are attacking the left. Yes. This is the case in every country, historically and presently. Why do you think Democrats are subverting the Sanders campaign, again? You think their donors give a fuck about Trump being dumb or cutting their taxes enough to risk capitalism being overthrown? Read a book man. When push comes to shove and the liberals have to choose between the left (workers, unions, socialists, communists, anarchists) and the right (capitalism, aristocracy, fascism, authoritarianism), they ALWAYS choose the right. Historically, the right has been able to retain power and keep a popular public face while doing so is by scapegoating immigrants and religious minorities, gays, ethnic minorities, etc.

I think you're confusing human compromise with liberal policies being completely ineffective in taking over Western culture. The Democratic party is very centrist. They haven't gone left since McGovern in 72 which was a Viet Nam War thing. He got crushed. LBJ was actually more left than any Dem who got elected since FDR. Odds are they go with Biden next year, and we continue to be the only civilized country without healthcare.

I wouldn't be fooled by Obama's politically correct progressive veneer. When it came to issues that matter he was less progressive than Bill Clinton. But as black muslim socialist he was a good talking point. He was coming for your guns, except he wasn't. The best thing I can say about Obama was he was the only articulate President this century.

Seems you’re conflating human progress with the rise of the left, which is hilariously telling. No, capitalism has no doubt improved the human condition considerably upon the failures of the previous system. Socialism will inevitably do the same.

The point about the center (liberals) always choosing the right over the left is that the liberals and the right have the same masters (capital). That’s why socialism is an international project. The Cold War was half a century of the US playing whack a mole with fledgling socialist (or even center left) governments. So long as capital has the overwhelming majority of power, socialism won’t be allowed to succeed on any grand scale. We almost blew up the planet to make sure that didn’t happen.  Liberals and conservatives alike.

This historical alliance bothers you because you like to pretend the liberal vs conservative show they put on for you is real. When in reality there is no meaningful ideological distinction between the two, whether that be democrats and republicans here, or any two “opposed” capitalist factions elsewhere. Disillusioned by this, you retreat to conspiracy about race and nationalism, completely ignoring the commonly held ideology across the ruling class: capitalism.

I have always stated that currently in the US that there's only a one party system and the two party system is nothing more than an illusion for the masses.

I have always stated that I have never met a true liberal and that these people only exist in theoretical land, not the real world. So maybe that's why socialist ideologies have failed in the real world and have also failed to met your high expectations of it.

So maybe, it's not socialism that has you disappointed, it's human nature that does. If socialism is truly the better human system, it will win. Socialism might not work today, but might work in the future, or it might never work for whatever reason.

Maybe you’re being honest here, let’s say you are.


1. This doesn’t explain why you constantly fall for standard right wing bogeymen (sjws, sharia law, antifa terrorism, the dangers of multiculturalism, etc). For every second a conservative spends blaming scapegoats, the ruling class enjoys another second of comfort knowing that half the working class hasn’t even identified them as the enemy yet. And It’s not that liberals don’t exist, it’s that choosing between them or conservatives is a false dichotomy. Liberals are simply conservatives who have a slightly more progressive outlook on social issues. Again, that’s why they side with their fellow capitalists against socialists.

2. You’ve backed yourself into another contradiction. Social Darwinism and the human nature argument is a great one for white supremacy and capitalism because they have all the power, and if the best ideas win then those are the best ideas. The problem comes in when you lament how the real rules of the world are actually against you (the Jews or the banks or the corporations). This is the contradiction inherent to fascism: we are the master race with the master ideals and simultaneously constantly under threat from far more powerful nefarious forces.



And socialism will win for that very reason. Fascism clings to power via force and fear, not logic or superior ideals.  Wouldn’t you admit that taking democratic control of our economy would be a net benefit to US workers? Just be a socialist and stop twisting yourself into knots defending the status quo that has clearly failed.
