My cubes are suspected of not being cubes

No wild mushrooms here. I posted in Mushroom Cultivation about my BRF cakes which should be growing cubensis, B+. It was suggested to post here for feedback.

These cakes are on day 4 in the SGFC, the close-up pic is from a day or two ago. They smell like "normal" mushrooms to me, but I also have no prior experience growing mushrooms. I have two other (half) cakes in the tub that came from the same spores that are not growing like this at all. I got my spores from Microtech / micro-supply, which might explain my predicament here.

You got picks of the ones growing differently than these and did they come from the same print/syringe or just the same supplier.

Here are the pics I used in my post from a few days ago. These are pictures of the cakes in their jars, the crazy mystery mushrooms all came from the jar with the "pins", the fuzzy cakes came from the other jar. All cakes came from the same syringe.

Yank one of the big ones off see if it blues when cut maybe they gave you a dif psilocybe species or something like pans and they don't like that substrate or something some bigger ones kinda have that shape like sick ones.

That's a good idea, although I think I will let them grow a little bit before cutting. How long does it take for a mushroom to bruise?

Usually right away but it can take 20 sec somtimes to darken up if they're wet or later flushes. You know man now that I think about it seems like I've seen shrooms like that posted on here before while back can't remember what was found out though.

Yeah sadly it's common for shady vendors to send out oyster syringes lucky to get that really.

I'd be asking for my money back if I were you. Having said that, they're probably oysters, let them grow anyway, at least you'll get a good meal out of them.

Here is an update to how they're looking today. I realized that, despite their tiny size, I can see the gills on some of these bigger guys. Does that mean the veil is broken and they're ready to be harvested? Do all gilled mushies have veils? Can I eat these?

Also, I'm not super familiar with Shroomery - should I create another thread with the updated pics to try to get an ID on these, or is that redundant?

Yeah that's some weird shit the caps were fucking with me when you guessed oyster but sick unhappy mashies do weird shit somtimes I'd love know what you got. Because it's to well grown out to have been a stray contaminate mushroom imo it had to been what the syringe was loaded with. Pretty lil mushroom though lol.

Do not eat those let a trusted identifier id them I repeat pls don't eat them you can cut one open take pics of inside see if the bruise or have secretions and get close pics of gills and where gills meet the stem.

More pics. I don't notice any blue bruising at the cut, the entire stem slowly turned dark brown / black after cutting. Appears there might be white spores on the stem near the cap. Can't tell if there are secretions at the cut, it's too small. I should've posted a coin for reference, this was my biggest cap, 8mm in diameter and stem is an inch long.

Make a spore print, I'd like to see what colour the deposit is.
I wonder if its a Hypsizygus species.
