Considering the horrible personel attack he posted against you just before the shutdown, I'm surprised that one of the mods here didn't perma his arse, I know I felt like reporting the...

Do you feel that as an admin here you should have to accept a higher level of abuse than you would allow an 'ordinary' member here to expect?
Why. As an authority figure on a web site populated by people that have a natural tendency to dislike authority, you feel that you should have to take a higher level of personal abuse?

The vision I have for the Shroomery, and which is shared by the other admins, is that for the most part staffers and members mingle as equals, unless duty gets in the way of that. As an admin, who posts a lot, who is eccentric, you're going to naturally draw a lot of negativity.

Imagine the Shroomery was a site where everybody had to tiptoe around the admins to avoid being banned with extreme prejudice. Respect is given, not enforced by the one who wishes to receive it. We're a site from the membership up, as opposed to from the admins, down.

Being a staffer means holding yourself to a higher standard, and having a higher tolerance towards negativity directed towards you. We're public servants, not an oligarchy expecting worship.

Still there are limits of course, but generally staffers defend each other rather than that an attacked staffer takes action themselves.

I had mods on my personal servers in CS 1.6 that allowed this along with alot of other crazy stuff.

Now I do good to figure out how to print something.
