How do all the kratom "junkies" feel about this?

Indonesia and the ban of kratom exports.

Never really got into kratom myself, shit tastes nasty as soggy tits, but I know quite a few people who do. Almost all of them are freaking out and stocking up.

Didn't this happen last year and everyone began stocking up and the prices shot through the roof?

I tried it and it seemed extremely weak to me.  Maybe comparable to 10mg of codeine or something?  I took the recommended recreational dose.  Seemed like a waste of money.  It may slightly help with opiate withdrawal symptoms, but that seems like all it's good for.  Or maybe I just got a really weak strain...

Everyone I know that uses kratom has a nickname too. Like junkie jeff and lurch.

The only people I know that have ever stolen lottery tickets from a gas station.... Kratom users.

I used kratom for a long time and its way better than weed. weed made me slow, dumb and demotivated. kratom helped me a lot as a person

That being said, I began to get really bad reactions to it and as a result I ended up quitting it completely. It gave me really bad hangovers and made me really pukey. even at .5 grams

I bought from a series of vendors and got the same reaction. Its something to do with my liver probably. So thats that

I'll realistically probably end up killing myself if I can't access kratom because chronic pain sucks and doctors do too.

Personally, ive used and abused kratom for years, up until last year.
Ive ruined the drug for myself by binging for months on end and taking massive doses daily, on multiple different occasions. I tried it earlier this year and i just dont get anything out of it anymore.

That being said, Id hate to see it banned. I wont lose any sleep over it, but i know a lot of people would and any new drugs being banned is a step in the wrong direction.

I'd rather have heroin over kratom.
It's a waste of money. Poppy seeds from the store do more than kratom.

I dig it but not so much as a recreational thing. I like it when I'm working. Gives me a pep and helps with pain. There's some degree of mood elevation. It's not something I feel the need or desire to when I'm not working. Some strains(from some vendors) work great for pain while another strain does not. Or even the same strain from a different vendor may not have the same effects. You really have to try a few before you find your preference. Some vendors kratom give me little effect except nausua while other give good effect without much nausea.
Also the problem with extracting kratom is you don't get the full spectrum of alkaloids which help mediate tolerance. You won't have both the opoid agonist and antagonist. The extracts do have a strong kick compared to whole leaf but they increase a person's chances of addiction substantially which is why you don't see them very often anymore. They're responsible for a lot of the bad rep kratom has gained.
Indonesia banning it is bs. I'm sure our government probably had a strong influence in that. It won't go into full effect for another 5 years though. It's such a large industry that it's gonna put a lot of people out of work. It's actually going to hurt that country's economy.

My buddy says this same thing. I think it may be like the cocaine. At first it was pure and always fire, but the more popular it became, the more it was stepped on.

Or it just got too hyped up and people were expecting more out of it than it ever delivered. :shrug:

I don't have a lot of experience with it but what I do have is very hit and miss. Sometimes it would be like a good, strong Vicodin high (as good as that is anyways). Sometimes it wouldn't do shit. Once it set off one of the strongest panic attacks I've had in a very long time.

Banning Kratom is a bad idea but it is definitely addictive both mentally and physically. A lot of people around here have wasted a lot of money and done detriment to themselves with escalating doses and struggling with dependence. It is not the innocuous miracle drug it tends to be hyped as.

If you truly have chronic pain that responds to opiates, pharmaceuticals under the care of a doctor are a better route. If you can’t control yourself with a supply of OxyContin, you’re probably not going to be able to control your kratom use either. We don’t have much data on the health consequences of high dose, long term kratom use.

I was used to high doses of opiates like opana and oxy. Quality kratom gives me a high and analgesic effect near the same ballpark as the aforementioned. It absolutely varies greatly in potency. The smell of kratom triggers my GR and the stronger the smell the fresher and better the leaf has been. Now a bright colored green strain at around 10grams is usually a sweet spot for me especially when combined with caffiene. I truly hope we can keep our kratom around because it's going to be very hard for me to keep a sober state from more dangerous substances.

It absolutely has wd effects. I used to get very restless from not having a dose. I realized that the green more energizing strains had way way worse restlessness from abruptly stopping use, than red strains which are way more mellow.
