Damn......progress by the hour. So 3 hours ago there was only 1 shroom ready to be pulled. Now nearly half of them on one cake is ready to be pulled :eek:

Well 1st flush was awesome. Really happy with how it turned out. This SGFC definitely makes a difference. So I managed to get 420g out of the 1st flush whereas my mate only managed to get 250g out of his. Same grow kits from the same place, only difference is I used SGFC whereas he just used the bags they came in.

Both cakes have been dunked now and just waiting for the next lot of pins to pop out

well you dunked it also before fruiting. your friend did not. the shot gun my have helped but i think the dunk helped more.

It helped your substrate support more growth, the mushrooms grow where the conditions are correct.

And a great atmosphere it helped create. So happy with the 1st flush. 5 times better than the 1st time I grew them a couple of years back.

And looking forward to eating some next Wednesday. I have 35g chilling in the fridge as we speak :cool:

We dunked the cakes last Saturday. These pics were taken today. I know the purple stuff is spores that have been dropped. So that's normal. But is that green mould in the corner of the cake ok?
I'm also hoping more pins pop out in the next few days. I hope this isnt all I'm going to get out of our 2nd flush :frown:
