Smoking Salvia Without A Water Cooled Device - The Best Way

Hello,

I am about to smoke some salvia divinorum today but I do not have a bong or water pipe, leaving me with common weed or crack pipes as well as joints.

I would like to know what kind of pipe is best to get the most from the experience given the fact that I do not have any water cooled device?

I have two extracts - 5x and 10x.

I am gonna to try the 5x one today.

Weed pipe works fine, water isn’t mandatory..

Do you recommend combining it with weed/tobacco or just on its own? As I feel that I would have to stick a lot of the extract into the pipe so it won't fall out.

Definately not tobacco..  do you have something neutral like some mint on your spice rack that you could make a little bed with?

I suppose weed would be fine.

Yeah man that should work.  Any neutral herb that won’t make you choke or taste horrible.

Just a bed of weed or if theres already ash in your bowl it's fine. I dont see the need of adding other herbs to it really.

When i smoked salvia I ordered the 40x I believe and just put it inside a glass pipe without weed or anything and just smoked it

Astonishing trip ensued

Thank you all for your advice! I have used a glass pipe with a screen as my ingestion methos. Here is the transcription of the experience from my FB page (I usually start very low when encountering a new substance, be it LSD or meth):

I have just had my very first salvia divinorum experience. I got it as a gift and a friend of mine was tripsitting me. I have two extracts - 5x x and 10x.

For my very first encounter with this atypical hallucinogen (as it binds to kappa opioid receptors, a unique pharmacology), I have decided to choose the 5x and only a small dose.

I have loaded the glass pipe with a small amount and told my friend to watch me over. I smoked it all at once, this dose has given me just a feeling that everything is behind a glass prism, as if I was getting dissociated from the outer world but only slightly, I was still able to move and see clearly.

I have loaded a second dose (as salvia has a reverse tolerance, also a unique trait) and smoked it all again. I lied on the ground and had a feeling that I am on a train station and that I can just stand up from the trip as if I was lying in it. I felt as if my friend was oin some kind of island that I could ignore completely if I wished.

I started being slightly paranoid that my friend might freak out as I didn't give him a proper description of the effects so I decided to join the outer world instead of further dissociating. I had a choice to either dissociate further into my own world or rejoin the outer one and connect to my friend.

When trying to stand up, my body was very heavy, so I just sat down and inspected my tought patterns, mindset and emotions.

I found out that my thinking is extremely geometrical on this substance as I saw different mindsets as irregular sharp red and green shapes. I saw where various concepts start and end, I let my friend ask me questions about life attitude, mindset, values...

This substance seems to be perfect for seeing a concept holistically and with clear borders from other concepts as well as other concepts fit within it, mostly thanks to the colors (what I saw was grass-like green). I will probably incorporate it into my purging rituals.

The lowest i tried was 10x and it pales in comparison to the 60x i had. The 10 felt like i was a piece of wood or something and stuck to the couch just a weird as feeling that was pretty cool when i was drunk. The 60 took me out of this world. I felt like i was one of the ridges in some random guys shirt collar hanging upside down. It was so real like his beard and everything it was insane. Then i became part of a solid white wall about 15 feet off the floor. My body didnt exist though it was just my head. I then started seeing visions of my family going past and i was convinced that i had died i just couldnt remember how. Needless to say it was scary as fuck and i never had the balls to try it again. Ive had a bowl of it left for about 6 or 7 years. Hopefully ill get the courage to do the rest someday.

This sounds very interesting though it was probably difficult as hell. How long did it last in real time and how long did you feel it lasts?

How much do your thoughts and self-awareness remain with you as the experience progresses? I want to guide the experience to allow me become myself from the desired (as I am reprogramming my mindset as hell these times) future, to know how he will think, feel etc.

Do you think I will be able to recollect who I am and who I want to be?

Exactly yeah,up felt like down down gelt like up like gravity was oposite, it felt like the chair i was sitting on was pushing hard into my back, then the wall turned into jigsaw peices and lego stacked up, i felt like i began falling and then i was watching myself as if i was mario on the original yellow/black screen gameboy running around, everything looked dark and sharp if that makes sense. Worth noting although i watched myself running around some mario land i never actually left my seat, also the whole time I could hear 8 bit music like again gameboy music mostly tetris 8 bit music to this day sort of makes me have a brain fart and i seize up for a second like my brains remembered it for a second. Tasted nice though like smoking a cup of tea. Ive only done it 2 times in my life that was the first time, second time maybe 4 years after the first  time i had mostly forgot whatthe experience felt like so i took a toke and held it started counting then i got a little rush of the same feeling i got the first time and quickly  exhaled as i paniced because i remembered the whole ordeal in the 1 or 2 seconds id held my breath, luckily it didnt take hold of me and i got almost no effect partly due to this time it was a 15x iirc and not 50x like the first time.
