THINGS OVERHEARD IN PASSING AT FESTIVALS, JOBS, ETC

When I was waiting tables I heard a guy say something that bothers me to this day. It was 1993-94 too. All I heard was, "yeah, and the other day I saw a squirrel going through the same motions". I can not figure out WTF it was, I should have asked, lol. Does anyone have anything to add here? Things over heard that were completely weird and to this day you still don't know WTF it was?

Sounds like he made up or mashed up his own saying. Perhaps hes watched enough squirrels to follow their daily routine. Might be a play off of the "Rat Race" saying. Ive heard similar things before, its fun to hear what people come up with.

I cant think of any off the top of my head, but i'll get back to ya :wink:

Squirrels do some pretty odd and cool stuff.  Everybody knows they hide nuts in the ground and different places but sometimes (because they know other animals watch them bury food and will come when they leave to take it) they will pretend to be burying something but really they're holding the food and going to bury it somewhere else while the other animal is checking the fake hiding spot.  Pretty smart little dudes they are!

One time I was caught right in the middle of squirrel war III at a hotel in Portland. There were hundreds of them in the trees outside the window, chasing each other from branch to branch and making these monkey-like sounds I’ve never heard from a squirrel. It was crazy, I’ve never seen them do that. They were super agitated.

At a festival i saw a guy get knocked over by some wook who was in a hurry. He said "Look where you're wooking!" Then he thought about it for a minute and he said "wook your steps!". So i said "wook where you're going!". And he was like "Yeah that's it!".
