I think I am going to write a book on my life * 1
    #26070709 -

I think the time is coming. I'm almost 30 and I'm getting my head back together from years of opiate use. I really want to do this but I don't want to do it if it's going to be a dud.

Do you think it's worth it?

I know it's a very delusional thought but I want to write the book and then ask Mike Tyson if I can invest in his ranch. I hope 300k is worth it for him and I to do this. I think I can relate to Mike in many different ways and who knows, he might want to take my money.

I don't think 'a book on your life' is worth it. Not unless you're already a star, in which case an autobiography might at least be picked up by a publisher. But to write one as a common man - I don't think it's realistic to think there's an audience for that. I read A LOT and I don't have any interest in books on peoples lives.

Now if it were a fictional work - something like 'The Alchemist' by Paulo Coelho - an entertaining parable based on the lessons you've learned that could apply to others, then perhaps you would have a chance. But even for him/that book, the success seems purely to have been by chance. It sold no more than a few copies with the initial publisher and took a chance finding for it to be picked up and move in a big way.

The struggle of many authors to be initially published - Jack London springs to mind - is a really hard slog. Soooooo much more than just writing the book.

Let it be seen that you are nothing. And in knowing that you are nothing... there is nothing to lose, there is nothing to gain. What can happen to you? Something can happen to the body, but it will either heal or it won't. What's the big deal? Let life knock you to bits. Let life take you apart. Let life destroy you. It will only destroy what you are not.

I don't know I might just do it because I want to. Maybe it will help someone with schizophrenia or inspire someone to IV 4-aco-dmt :ancientaliens:

I honestly think my story needs to be heard even if it's by a very few. My life has literally been crazier than fiction novels.

Do it Bill. If you feel compelled to, why not? YOLO. Plus its theraputic. If u wanna go the easy route, u could do an eBook. If u wanna go the tougher route, try get it printed with a publisher.

Either way, it will be a good thing. Nothing wrong with writing a book. Id say go for it.

Anytime my trippy brotha. I bet it will be an interesting book for sure. And even if it might turn into a dud, at least you can say you accomplished the task and have something to share with your kids and the Shroomery someday. I see it as a win-win.

I think you could totally do it bill, as logic was saying you could make an ebook and I would for sure love to read the novels of  a drug addicted madman, isnt that what makes fear and loathing such a great book? I would def pick up your book up.

Worst case scenario maybe you help some people out with their lifes and write a book, there is no such thing such as failure.

100%. You could definitely help people by sharing your story of surviving your heroin addiction and making it on top. No easy task and a worthy accomplishment in itself. And then of course the mental hospital stuff as well. I bet some people will relate, it may help people our struggling with addiction/mental issues or at least find it an interesting read.

If anyone cares this is what the book will be mainly about

Me being born as a middle child. The forgotten son. Doing drugs with my older brother until he died.

My parents doing heroin and crack and me meeting my wife and eventually my parents were shooting up with me and I was getting them stuff and they were getting me heroin.

I saw God on DMT and mushrooms combined. I almost touches it but it hovered away when I dlwoly went to touch it. I literally made it rain upon its arrival. Then the whole 4-aco-dmt thing which is a huge part

Then the psychosis which I met a dude who cakined to be Tupac. He gave me so much knowledge. He carried a Koran everywhere and was hooking up with the hottest girl I ever seen and she worked there. He offered her to me because she wanted to hook up with me, but I declined because I felt she was too good for me. He comes and tells me it made her weep uncontrollably. I was nicknamed by him "Paul Walker" and 'gods son' by him and the others because of the humbleness I was showing.

That was just the first psych ward ..the others were crazy too..the last one I was in, there was a dude who looked just like the guy claiming to be Tupac, but the whole time he fucked up on thorazine and literally had to be fed and put to bed. He was a zombie

Fast forward some time to now where i recently talked about what I was going through

That's literally like 10 percent of what I have been through. I have stories for days.

Well I shot a pathetic shot on his Facebook. There's no way to message him so I commented on his main picture and said..(off the top of my head)

"Mike if you ever see this please respond. First off you're the man. I really respect what you are doing with the ranch and want to invest in it. I want to write a book about my life because I feel like it's one of the most interesting stories. I have seen God on DMT combined with mushrooms and literally died and came back to life when I injected a drug called 4-aco-dmt. I'm nothing man my parents were and are drug addicts. They never taught me shit. I been to psych wards man and let me tell you...I am the biggest Tupac fan. I study him. I met a dude in there who claimed to be makeveli. All the staff was calling him makeveli. He took me under his wing and gave me a ton of game. He carried a Koran everywhere and he would have me read a random page and I would cry because it spoke to me personally. That book is special. Anyway, I want to tell you about my experience with Makeveli. I can't get into all of it now. Anyway man I was lucky and inherited a condo in Brookline MA worth about 400k and I want to link up and invest. Ive watched all your podcasts and think you will be number 1 in a few years. Never stop talking about the toad no matter who makes fun of it. They don't know. Also, you hitting up wack 100 for his comments on pac was so inspiring. You went to another level after doing that. Anyway, I have an amazing story to tell and would love to hear from you. I know you probably piss 400k but man it ain't aint about that. It's about respect and I respect you more than myself almost. Anyway, hope you see this. One love."

I know, stupid, but hey if he just reads it I'll be stunned.

Brookline? Howdy neighbor :elmo:

Writing a book can be brutal. No matter how interesting your life is, dont be surprised if you burn out of words before page 20. There's a huge difference between telling your story and writing page after page of tedious details, it's really boring and exhausting work that you may have to drag yourself to the computer to do.

Maybe start with a blog or journal, put it all together into a book at the end? That way even if you get tired of it and don't want to finish, you've still put some content out there and can always continue on at a later date. If you're hoping to make some money, you're much better off spending the time researching investments or learning a marketable skill, random autobiographies just don't sell. Blogs can make some money if they catch on though.

If youre looking to write for therapeutic reasons, selfauthoring.com cant be beat

My issue is that I repeat my words. I don't have a big vocabulary. I think I have enough content for a small book but I just don't have the vocabulary.

Thanks man that's an awesome response and that's crazy you live in the area

Redline to roxbury crossing used to be my twice a week score, until I found a crew from Lawrence that made house calls. Luckily that was years ago for me, hope you can get off it if you're trying. I'm sure you're well aware OD's aren't an if but a when with fent.

You've already had people in this thread saying they'd like to read it, couldn't hurt to just start writing and putting bits out there, see what sticks. Maybe even start as a journal on here. I have a feeling it'd get tons of views

This is why they have editors. If you have a story - beginning, middle, and end. If you can answer the questions: Who? What? And Why? And if all the "Who"-s are interesting, not even in a good way just in a compelling way. Then you've got a chance. The tough part is the story. If you have one then it's already dying to get out of your head and onto paper. If it's a good one then other people will want to read it.

Write it true-to-life or use it a the basis for a fictional tale. Doesn't matter.

If you start and the characters are good they will tell you how to write them. That was the creepiest part for me.
