perlite

i read on some website thru erowid.org that perlite is much better to use than vermaculite... however i havent found an easy grow method that uses it such as the canning rice cakes... anbody kno the amount of perlite to use instead of vermaculite?

Vermiculite retains water, and is a time release.

While Perlite is for airiation and drainage.
