Now I don't pretend to have any ownership of anything that is posted here, but if an an OP chooses to request to have a thread they started closed, what reason is there for them to be denied that?

I've never seen an instance where an OP was denied that request, should they make it.

I believe that if you started a thread, requested it to be closed for any reason, and were denied that (by a mod of course), you would probably take it quite badly, would you not?

It really wasn't as cozy then, as opposed to now I see a lot of newer people, but there are enough old names not washed out by a flood of new guys. The folks I used to talk to changed names and idk who anyone is anymore, but it's familiar enough.
