Pletorus tuber-regium outdoor
    #26015868 -

hey guys, i don't remember where i got my original genetics but i have fruited it indoors when it was fresh. however i have i bunch of 3 year old spawn bags.I also have enough ball jars with "tubers" in them that i will get it on agar.
Im going to throw all the old spawn into my garden beds.Should i mix it with straw wood chips or manure?

How do you best grow the tubers?

I have 2 bags of it grown on some wood sub, from last year... we did have a heat wave here that could have worked but i didn't quite make it so they have been in my storage in the meanwhile.
It's getting very warm weather again and I already put one of the bags on a grow unit i have that generates heat and is about 27C during most of the day.

Kinda forgot what's up with them and how either fruiting or tubering is induced really.. but i looked into it and surely saved some links or literature on it.

what is your climate like?

Sorry i can't answer your question, but i take it you wanna fruit and not eat the tubers?

I did not have to do anything to get my PTR to make stones. It did it pretty quick in supplemented grain bags.
My bulk spawn consist of used grain from a local brewery/verm/gypsum.
My climate would not support the PTR over the winter, my hope is that if the old spawn/tubers grow in my garden i will have fruit to eat by the end of august?

OK at what temperature did you grow the stones and for how long?

verm? ok so the stones would be inedible then right..

My climate doesn't really support them either. But it would be a cool stunt to grow something from them over the summer, especially if there are long heatwaves again.

It was early spring when i was making spawn.
in-edible, meh, might give you the :glittershitz:
Honestly i made a lot of spawn a few years ago and then never got around to using it. I dont know much about them. A bunch of the spawn bags fruited invitro.

I do see some myc popping up around the spots i buried the old spawn bags in my tomato garden.
