Using reusable rubber heat proof gloves for working
    #26031148 -

Just ran out of nitrile gloves and ordered some heat resistant rubber gloves for swirling agar to mix during microwaving. Should these be acceptable to work with? The only real option I have rn.

Don't see why not! I use two small dish rags or pot holders to grab the bottles. I'm sure the gloves will be comfier and easier to use.

I am one that doesn't wear gloves.
I work in front of a flow hood and I keep my hands down wind from what I'm working on. I'll use a clean towel to pull hot Items out of the microwave oven.
I wash my arms and hand allot with soap while I'm working and I keep My arms and hand drench in alcohol with my sprayer.
I empty hot spawn jar from my pc with out gloves or towels.

I don't like relying on stuff you got to buy from a store.
I have a friend that can't golf without his golf glove...

I was actually meaning to ask you about stirplated cubensis Lc. Now seems like as good a time as any. Mine is forming lots of lil snowballs, is that a good look for it or should I turn the stirrer down?

Stir plates are not necessary.
Just let the the lc grow out.
When the lc. is fully grown. Pour out the lc. 10 ml. per quart grain jar. Don't shake grain jar. until 60% colonize...

Time to make a new batch lc. Don't try renewing or expanding out from your lc jar..
Start new..

I meant for agar work really. Didn't know if rubber would be to porous. I wound up using them anyway and no visible contamination yet.

I think they would be good too. I can't tell you for sure because I've never had rubber gloves. I always buy Latex gloves because they are degradable and Nitrile. After all, the Nitrile gloves are much higher quality. Why didn't you retake Nitrile gloves if you already have experience with such gloves and they are comfortable for you? I like the Nitrile gloves the most because they are high quality and do not cause any choice. I hope that the rubber ones are just as high quality and comfortable.

Yes, they can be accepted, but there is nothing better than nitrile gloves. I am sure you must order some of them right now. Reusable gloves are not that efficient, and you must be aware of how you wash them. Sometimes, they can be dangerous if they are not cleaned well. I always told my friends that they ought to protect themselves if they needed to do something dangerous with their hands. I order my hand-protection on https://harmonycr.com/gloves-and-finger-cots/disposable-gloves/nitrile-gloves/, which is where most of my friends take theirs. I hope you will not continue using reusable gloves as it looks like a bad idea to me.
