I think that’s the building where I had to get my friends dog a license to be on the beach when I went a few years ago. I almost got killed.

The best part of Va Beach is the fighter jets

He was in the military, National Guard. He probably just lost it from PTSD and went Postal.

Virginia Beach is the northern most place on the east coast where palm trees grow natively

Virginia Beach is fairly large. That whole area of Virginia (known as tidewater, which includes Norfolk) has a huge military presence. The largest navy base in the world is there, housing the Atlantic fleet.

Probably the most military oriented area in the entire country. Essentially the military is the reason anyone lives there.

Lots of historical stuff to. The northern tip of Virginia Beach where the Atlantic meets the Chesapeake is where English settlers first landed in North America before making the colony of Jamestown.

The beach in first landing star park is beautiful and surrounds cypress swamps with dank Spanish moss hanging from the trees

Pretty much every summer when I was a kid my family would spend a week there or my mom would send us to stay with her friends.

My nephew is starting navy seal training at fort story in Virginia Beach next week.  Fort story is at the end of that beach in the picture above.
