Making my peace with the Cannabis plant.
    #25989683 -

As some of the older veterans know, I had a heart attack in 2002 which in part was due to abuse of smoked cannabis combined with a hereditary defect that makes cannabinoids dangerous in that regard.

It is very clear that I should not use recreational doses of cannabinoids in the foreseeable future.

To make my peace with the cannabis plant in spite of that, my spirit guide egged me on to a challenge: prepare a simple meal primarily comprised of rice, peanuts and peeled organic hemp seeds from the grocery store, and eat it.

He asked whether my faith in him was greater than that in the laws of physics - I gave him that.

He asked that if I bought the ticket (ate the hemp product) I was willing to take the ride, which may include a wailing siren ambulance ride and hospital stay, with the caveat that I would live to tell the tale. I was so willing and gave him that.

He then promised that there will be no such thing as another ambulance ride this night, and that this makig of peace with Cannabis was important for things to come, as legalization ripples over the planet he wants me to endorse that, not just in word but also by ingesting hemp seed and hemp seed oil in my diet.

I'm so willing.

The hemp is ate, I await my fate.

Fingers crossed guys, this is scarier to me than a pipe of DMT :loveheart:

Its.. Me-Man, back on the Pot again, wondering whats next!

As it turns out my cannabis allergy does not extend to hemp seed in moderation, even though it contains trace amounts of the cannabinoids that I'm indeed contraindicated for.

If I dont develop an eczema rash in the coming 12 hours I'm clear for hemp seed with all its health benefits.

Even though I cannot use it to get high, I'm in love with the Cannabis Plant, I just LOVE it even though it bit me really hard on many occasions in my younger life.

I want to make my peace with it and that hopefully includes culinary ingestions.

Ive had cardiac events also. What do you know about the effects of psilocybin on heart disease patients? Its often touted that psilocybin is safer even than cannabis. Feedback is appreciated.

It depends on what ails you. There's like 50 different "heart diseases" and there is variance within each.

Its safer for me to eat a quarter gram of pure MDMA than smoke a quarter gram of weed.

The averse cardiac events of cannabinoids are well documented and everybody accepts them from syntheic cannabinoids, but when yoy say cannabis has them too people start shouting HARMLESS HARMLESS and beat you over the head with bricks of Ketama hash until you leave

No, if you have a pre-existing condition, cannabis can kill you just like a peanut allergy or beesting allergy can.

Psychedelics carry the risk of scaring you to death if you are a heart patient, that you get so emotional that it triggers a heart attack etc by pure anxiety alone.

In my case, I take only low to low-moderate doses of psychedelics, stopped recreational cannabis completely (had to - every use initiates angina pectoris + a panic attack) and the substances I sling my big guns with are dissociatives, which are battlefield anesthetics and fairly heart neutral in most cases. They enen make it harder for a given amount of anxiety to come into being and raise the heartrate, in many cases.

Dissociatives are addictive though. This is useful to make you stick to the gruelling process of selfpurification of Ego Death but if taken to excess may actually destroy you.

Why would your spirit guide put you up to this challenge if hemp doesnt have anything to do with your allergy.

OP. How long does your angina last after smoking? I’m wondering if I have it.  I get a tight pain in my left chest and stiffness up into my neck and into my left arm. Lasted for a week last time I smoked

To kill my fear to ingest cannabis. I was unsure to what degree and to which components of cannabis I am allergic. We immediately think of THC but it could be any of there literally 100 chemicals or so that are he chief components of the cannabis plant. It could even be an allergy to a pesticide used in cultivation for all I know.

I didnt dare eat cannabis seeds because of the residual cannabinoids, it turns out that up to this level, that fear was unfounded.

Now I can graduate to a largr amount of hemp seeds, and after that, use of hemp oil in the kitchen, as you know one of THE healthiest oils.

My Spirit Guide constantly challenges me to jump into the fire of my worst fears with the promise that if I leap without fear that I will come out unscathed, and every time he has been right. This is about making my mind stronger by taking a sledgehammer to my fears to galvanize my mind power and Qi with sudden giant leaps forward.

I got a mission to fulfill :awesomenod:

NOUS333, as a cardiac patient with a fair IQ who's read in on heart matters, I don't like how that sounds at all to be honest. I recommend to drop weed like a hot potato until you get a cardiologists opinion.

It might be possible that you have a narrowing of the coronary arteries that worsens with cannabis use. This can be innocent or ominous. If you live in the US and are not insured, you might want to do that first as its very possible that you will be subjected to costly tests.

Keep calm, rational and have it checked out, is my recommendation.

Left arm/chest/neck discomfort is often associated with angina pectoris, reduced bloodflow to the heart. As you know thats what they instruct old people to watch out for.

Speaking of old people :oldman:
I had similar symptoms last week.
On the second day the pain got so bad that
I went to the ER and was diagnosed with
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pericarditis and admitted for 5 days.
I haven't smoked in weeks.

My cardiologist has me scheduled for a nuclear stress test next week. :uhoh:

You know man, you're a really cool dude man, if i grew up with you in new jersey youd probably be one of my closest friends, i dig your personality, i think its cool that youre gay (you could babysit my little anastasia)

So what im gonna say isnt a bashing

Its really just a question

Hypothetically, if you could lose weight"traditionally" (exercise and diet), and thinned out, do you think youd be able to blaze at all?

I mean, is the heart thing related to bodyweight or is it something that whether fat or skinny, you just cant burn?

Its not really bodyweight related and not really fitness related, but its likely that when I'm fitter (that includes weightloss but moreover exercise) that my tolerance for weed is somewhat better. Still, its not for me. Even my first joint led to horrid angina pectoris and I was about 18yo and 220lbs. Still tho, I didnt have that AND my heart meds so who knows.

"blazing" was never possible for me, it was always tiny lil bits of weed so it wouldnt hurt too much because I too believed that "harmless" bs.

Its just not for me, maybe later in life.

My educated guess is that bodyfat cushions the blow of smoking weed, but poor fitness makes it quite a lot worse.

That's crazy. I never knew someone could be allergic to weed. So I am guessing if you ate an edible, even a strained one (with no plant matter), you will get sick from it?

Backj in wartime London whehn Hitler's V-1 cruise missiles were raining down, or indeed in other cities being bombed elsewhere in the world, there are people who walk on and do their thing, unafraid.

They reason that nobody dies a second later or sooner than their time and that up until that time they are immortal.

While I will absolutely duck and cover, I kinda see truth in that thought. The universe has already happened, we're watching the rerun as one big giant ride. Its a ride.

Very happy to be on it in good condition, but I am firm in the knowledge that the ride cannot and will not throw me. Our consciousness is as eternal as the universe is, it just changes form.

This kind of philosophies are a great comfort if SHTF on a personal, medical level, regardless if they are true or false.

"do your best not to die but if you must, no biggie."

If you think you can't rise from the dead, how are you even here, now?

Ok well heres a head scratcher. Just git a dall from my endocrinologist about my recent labs. and she says that both my A1c and LDLs and triglycerides have increased. This is especially frustrating as I have been extra vigilant this year since january when I had my pacemaker removed and an angioplasty. Ive been taking maximum doses of fish oil coq10 garlic and niacin as well as eating at least two avocados a days along with an extra vigilance on my diet. The only outlier has been my consumption of golden teacher once a week. Do you know if mushrooms have an effect on cholesterol or glucose levels?
