OK it will but only if 2 things:
You've got good clean spawn and sub
You have moderate skill

That's an oil change pan and probably cost more the the plastic tote you need.

it will work like a shoe box within a monotub. just fruit at spawning and mist it when needed.

So, I basically do the same thing as I would with the monotub .
and put it at fruiting conditions from the first ?
put holes and micropore it and then put a plastic bag over it? these dont have a lid on'em, so...

they are inside of a monotub which has a lid and holes.

that disc thing is just a round tray to hold the substrate just like my trays would be.

with more skill and time, yah Im sure. but usually its easier to follow established teks till you get the hang of growing. theres a buncha links in my sig of teks ive made.

If you really wanted to use those you could probably house it in a five gallon bucket with holes drilled in the sides above the top of the sub then again near the top and stuffed with polyfil and covered with seran wrap over the top. Could make for a cool stealth grow "pickle bucket tek"

I came up with an idea, to use 2 of the same monotubs,
over each other (facing each other)
so one would serve as a lid and the other the mushroom tray
and it will also provide more height for the mushrooms to grow. I'll just tape them together and put two holes for FAE on the one sitting on the top and four holes on the bottom one.

He could cut a hole and use plastic wrap I guess. Expensive ass dinky tub. OP just go buy a tub, I'm starting to believe you may be growing this somewhere you shouldn't be as you are stuck on using this opaque oil change tray to fruit in. My guys are getting rosecomb just thinking about that.

Yes , I was thinking cutting a hole on it. but that thing is made out of plastic and is really cheap af here. I have bought 2 tubs but their expensve and i cant afford anymore so i got 5 of these and plan to put'em to work.
I'll try'em and put an update as to how they turned out

Probably shouldn't have put those holes so low.  What substrate depth does that give you?

I'd tape those bottom holes and make new ones 2.5" from the bottom. And the top holes are too big, half that size would be plenty.

Sterilite tub all clear with all clear lid. You want 6500k light directly above. It cant get through non clear plastic
