I can appreciate the thought of moving on from psychedelics, I just don't see myself letting them completely go.  My opinions of tripping and psychedelic experiences have changed but tripping remains an important part of my life.

I don’t think there is any way I could be the profesional I am at my job without what I have gleaned from psychedelics.

I agree that there are lessons from psychs that can be applied to work, but for me, personally, mushrooms just make me hate the idea of earning and spending money.  After a mushroom trip, I just want to *exist*, if you will, and my drive to make money is dampened.  Not only that, but being an employee under someone else’s vision becomes almost intolerable.  Makes me wish I could be living out my highest ideals, without having to worry about money. I just haven’t figured out how to do that yet, so it’s back to the grind.

I’m 33 now, so these kind of thoughts weigh on me heavy and make it difficult to have a productive or enjoyable trip.

If you get rid of everything you have, I bet there’s a chance that over the course of a few years the urge may come back in a ‘for old times sake’..  maybe.  It’s not a reach for me to believe some people just get it all out of their system and don’t feel the need or maybe take a light refresher dose every couple of years.  I don’t think there’s any one way to go at it.  I looooooved salvia but much past 2011 you couldn’t pay me to do it...:nojustno:


You are right back in 1990 i had s shroom grow opp that the DEA found out about several times, could never prove it was me
I gave up because of it but when i moved to seattle they are everyplace in the fall
It was such a rush to find the again the old chills down the spine came back,And then it got so hard to compete with everybody else in Seattle looking for them that I just decided to grow again

But recently the last five years I’ve had a couple loved ones actually go insane and being around them and trying to care for that has really put a damper on my ability to trip

Well I'm only 18 so I don't really think I am "over" tripping on them, but I have found that with too-consistent of use the mushroom tends to tell you to take a break and hang up the phone.. at least for a little bit.

I've gone years between tripping, but this past year I have probably tripped 15 times. All high dose.
But I'm doing it differently now and for a different purpose. I find it to be a miracle cure for all
of the things I had been suffering from. I don't see myself giving it up any time soon and from
what I can tell, I'm probably older than everyone on this thread.

I'm overdue for a trip. Last time I had time, my dose was too low because I had grown a very weak batch of mushrooms.. 4.5 felt like two grams..

Anyway, that was a wasted trip IMO. Going to go at it again this weekend and up the dose to 6g with this batch and see what happens. Hopefully I can get where I want to be.

I need another golden trip under my belt. Havent had an amazing trip since my ex and I broke up about two months ago.

Im 35 too! Not about that none trip stuff tho. For me my 20's were all cocaine and pain pills. I ate way too much LSD when I was 12 and it scared me off tripping for a long long time. Then around 28 I started hunting mushrooms for ingredients. Then I just got hooked on the idea of mushrooms as medicine. Now I grow and will never not have mush again.

I wonder if age has something to do with it... that the older we get the more baggage we carry in our psyche.

Out of curiosity, are there trippers aged in their 80s on here? 70s?

As big as this community is, I could only assume there are. Moat people I have spoken to are in their early 40s.

I seem to be one of the younger ones lingering around. I'm 26. But I guess age doesnt mean much. It's how you deal with your baggage is what makes the difference.

I had a really fucked up childhood. But I learned and grew from it. I didn't let it ruin me. I let it make me. It built me tough as nails.

Taught me a lot of life lessons that I use to this day. I'm happy for what I had to deal with in my past as for it made me blossom into the man I am today.

All about perspective.

I wonder, the computers and the internet are a totally different thing for folks in that age group.  Would love to have a psychedelic mentor that’s lived through wars grandchildren and all the stuff you see change through that long of a trip here on earth.

I am amazed, this is like reading my own thoughts. We're living in an age that the concept of employment hasn't caught up yet with reality and technological advancements. Not sure either how we get out of this rut.

On topic, I'm definitely not over shrooms but had a long break going. Too long I'd say. I need to get some perspective and insight.
