ID Request: Northern Colorado

Habitat:
Where does it grow?
Northern Colorado (east of the foothills, close by Roosevelt national forest)

. What does it grow on? Eg. soil, dung, wood (dead, living, what kind of wood?), etc.
On top of dog dung, on the lawn, underneath a very aged cottonwood tree.

Gills:
Color, attached/not, gills/pores, etc.
very dark brown or black gills, the young ones seem much lighter, (I think not attached to the stem),

Stem:
Length, diameter, color, texture, hollow/solid, thin/thick, etc.
probably 2-4 centimeters at maturity with lots of variation. very thin in diameter, white, hollow, thin

Cap:
Diameter, color, texture, conical/spherical, convex/concave, etc.
1-3 centimeters max with lots of variation, white near the outer rim and golden brown near the tip, conical, convex (i think lol?)

Spore print color:
black, or very dark purple, indigo? (very dark and opaque like an ink cap)

Bruising:
Color that the mushroom bruises, if any.
No bruising

Other information:
Scent of the mushroom, anything else you think is important, large close-up pictures showing stem, cap and gills.
Earthy, sweet

I made a spore print tonight so it'll be ready to post tomorrow.

I found about a pound and a half of these in my back yard. I have 2 dogs and one of them eats plants so I wanted to make sure they weren't a concern. I realize that it will be difficult to diagnose because they are 'little brown mushrooms' so I weeded out them to be on the safe side.

Thank you to everyone here. I am very grateful for all the knowledge that's been volunteered  to keep each other safe. :thumbup:



(I'll take more pictures tomorrow when its daylight. I have tungsten-based lights which makes it slightly more orange.)
