Whats the coolest part of your government?

For me, U.S. Congress is pretty cool. A group vote on important topics. Awesome format in my opinion. Like an educated peer-review with a majority vote.

National Park Service and National Monuments. Things work better, though, when the President doesn't shrink them for expedient purposes.

I've always found our second house of parliament very interesting. For context: The first house is the commons, who discuss everything under the most public/committee scrutiny, any legislation that passes here goes through to the second house, the house of lords (they have to wear stupid hats). They have the power to stop all legislation but they never do because they're considered fairly insignificant (they are elected by parties not the public). They consist mostly of old people, acting as a silent reminder to respect some elderly wisdom and experience

I like the fact that as a white male, I am automatically assumed to be an innocent bystander, and not the criminal. This has let me get away with some seriously illegal weight in college.

My country's government and institutions are so evil and corrupt, that even Mugabe is takimg notes and getting ideas.

I am in a minority on the shroomery, as I frequently defend the opposing side when they have a point about something or when my side make believes something about them.  I also attack my side if I think they're wrong.  People here get very confused by that and think it means I prefer the other side.

I feel like trumps incompetence might highlight some of the issues (for a fucking high price) but that's only one step. Unless I'm not paying attention and he's doing something right? It's almost like Andrew Yang is the only option?! Sustainable energy and hydroponics seemed good enough gov investment but this is just a disaster, I'm bringing over my homemade compost pronto

The tariffs were so minimal and on a limited number of products that anyone with any insight could see it wouldn't make any difference at all.

Trump can now say he officially implemented tariffs and The Establishment can officially say 'tariffs don't work', it's complete bullshit.

Unfortunately the Forest Service has most of the reign over the National/State Parks System.  The Forest Service is a horrible entity, for the most part.  Most of the people who go into it caring about nature and preservation/conservation become jaded and leave.  i know this because i've had half a dozen friends join; only one of them lasted more than three years before being driven out by the politically-motivated ladder climbers.  Many of the friends they made within the organization also quit due to a lack of actual forest-tending....too much vehicle washing and time wasting.

In the US some of the coolest parts of the government are the parts that restrict what it does. The constitutional rights that individuals have are great.

AmeriCorps is pretty cool too.
