Thats wild.

The part that always perplexed me is why they are still lost. Some hauntings are super old like Castles in Europe. How have they not moved on? How do they move on? Are they stuck in spirit form forever? Or is it by choice?

My answer is short

I can’t believe in ghosts, not “people ghosts” at least, spirits or aliens or whatever other things that are out there that aren’t human is a tricky subject with a lot of dependablet factors and I’m unsure of what all else exists out there in the infinite cosmos that we come across while traveling through it at the speed of mind in our explorations

But a persons ghost would imply individual soul which I do not believe in for I believe anything that can exist anywhere inside our universe , or whatever is outside of anything , are all directly apart of and inside of right now, the one soul which is all, I don’t believe the ego survives death as it is a construct made by the senses through evolution as a means of survival, “I need this to survive that to survive”
And has advanced and developed in strange ways now that survival is much easier in society and is what we have now
A person having an individual soul that goes somewhere after death and can “get lost” or whatever reason one would have for “staying” is , in my mind , fantasy of the ego which seeks to not die and to be eternal
Only can the ego be put to rest when one realizes they are eternity itself.

That makes sense. Once they release their Egos, then they are free. U would think that death would destroy the Ego, but what if it preserves it instead :strokebeard:

Given what ego is in essence I just don’t see how it could or even why it would, although I suppose anything is possible

  I knew you'd be interested in writing an essay, which in no way I find to be a bad thing. Glad youre here.

  Now, can we account for the fact that a spirit is not a concrete concept? It's meaning fluctuates from person to person. How do we observe a spirit? Can we ask it the important questions. Are you dead? Where are you now? What do you feel? 
  Are these tales psychosomatic?
Demons? They attack people? I've heard of these things but have never seen anything I can equate to demonic. For example, I know of a guy who has severe brain damage and he likes to scream, laugh and make gutteral sounds. He does indeed sound like a classic religious demon. He was going to this church where they were literally trying to pray the demon out of him. he's super loving guy. Nothing malice about him at all. But some people think of him as demonic.

  If I had grown up religious, I can see how easy it is to equate "bad" things to an invisible force. But is it true?

Well my bad , I had misread your intent

To answer your final question, that’s very hard to answer
But In that mans case certainly not
I feel 98% positive that we do not have individual souls that resemble us or have our personality or anything anyone could consider a ghost
But as far as “demons” “angels”
And these strange entities people have talked of for a long time
I can not be certain
I do not believe in a spirit world for starters I believe we are there right now
And so I can not say that I believe in a classical demon or angel or anything like that in the sense a religion or old fashion person would think of it
However
Any kind of life form could be out there in the infinite cosmos and it would be hard to say what exactly a “cosmic” entity would be or mean
It begs the question are we alone in the universe as the only planet with life and what other external life forms would even be , would they have bodies ? Would they be tangible ?
This is where it goes more to the realm of imagination and inquiry
Which isn’t bad
But I really can’t accurately say whether or not thigns like exist

I myself am even still foggy on what I feel “plant spirits” and the like are
( In fact I think I should move my plant spirits thread from Psychedellic experience to here as I like the answers this sub forum produces more )
For I truly feel I feel a presence whenever I spend time with the sacred cactus
This begs the question , am I imagining a presence ? I had never heard of plant spirits though before feeling and “communicating” with this presence , it was the presence itself that led me to find the ideas of plant spirits
And if I am imagining it
How real or not real does it make it ?
If all is the process of imagination and ones mind exists period, how real or fake are the thoughts it produces and the reasons behind it?
Of which I truly am undecided.

And my further research into plant spirits could even ultimately change my mind about how I feel of the individual soul and perhaps even a “spirit world”
But idk
When it gets to that point I am not fully certain of anything
How could anyone be

The spirit world being here and now just makes most sense to me tho
For nothing has existed anywhere but the here and the now
And so IF , and that’s a large if , but if anything one could consider a demon, or spirit , or whatever , exists , it simply exists in rays and frequencies that we as human animals can not pick up
And the “spirit world” would then be , if it exists, the world around us which we can not perceive.


I am beginning to suspect however that everything that could ever be thought of with in and out side of the human mind , so everything ever inquired period, is literally true
And yet at the same time
None of it is
In a deep complex way that MAY not be able to be understood by the minds of advanced primates

Let's try to explain it this way: back in the early 1900's when we discovered magnetic fields, no one could touch them. They weren't very useful. There was an occult view on this kind of science. It was resisted and mocked. If it's true then it will hold up to the fires of criticism. It's the real deal, and as such it sets the agenda. You don't need to advert your gaze to be in the presence of it, it does not care about our personal beliefs. It's real.
  There are many things within the light spectrum we cannot see. Radio waves for one. But it was always there, hidden just beyond our grasp of understanding.

  This is how I see the spiritual world of demons, angels and ghosts. We cannot say for sure yet and there for live life as if it's not true untill valid evidence is brought to the table. Some of these things can "hurt" you which I see no valid evidence for, especially attacks on the pshyce. A lion,  a car even your neighbor can hurt you.

And speaking of evidence.. it's all around you. It is you. An example I love, is a heart monitor at a hospital. Now this is a dense and physical way to look at everything.

The line is the idea of you. Your frequency/spirit. The heartbeat is the vibration aka this would be like a physical representation of your soul. And your body is the manifestation of those two, which is the energy. So when you die, that line goes flat. That line/frequency still exist but it just isn't vibrating anymore aka your soul left your body. So when you die your spirit chooses or resonates with another form to take and vibrate in.

Ok, but at this point your simply talking about energy transfer. When I die, I begin to rot and the consumption of my body begins. My energy is transferred to other forms of life. How can you discern a soul from this system? You are a very specific set of molecules, how is this some how transferred? Is it a sort of upload in the matrix? I guess I'd have to ask about your personal beliefs.

When I look outside, I see a tree. A living being. It can only have a soul if I say it does. Simply because we have no real answer. How do we detect souls?

That’s not the same as stating you have no feelings or emotions
For feelings and emotions are physical constructs from our physical world
There is nothing ever shown or even intellectually argued to me to suggest we have a physical “ghost” like soul that resembles us or our personality
What that idea is is basically the idea of the eternal ego which I do not subscribe to. Am I saying it’s impossible ?

Because if it existed you could just use IT as the example
In my mind al this physical what not IS the one eternal “soul” that we’re are literally a part of and apart of.
THAT is what goes on for eternity
Not the ego we have developed out of sensory survival

The popular theory goes energy cannot be destroyed, right? But you see energy is last of the three. It can't find nothing else to attach to after it.  So it spirals back to the spirit. Then the process starts over again.

And okay can you touch your feelings and emotions? Can you see your feelings and emotions??? You can act them out through your energy which is your body. But they aren't physical. Are your dreams physical? Your emotional/subconscious body? Can you touch them? I'm guessing no. So how is that physical?
