Pins on those partially colonized subs would indicate a bacteria being present. Tubs should be fully consolidated before f.a.e is introduced.

Here is a few pics. I've counted over ten pins so far. Some are sides but I'm ok with that. It's my first mono so I'm excited. It started smelling stale and sour so I put into fruiting 3 days ago. I'm going to start agar today.

I don't think that's completely true. I use Bod's Tek and my tubs have some sort of FAE from spawn day. Also shoeboxes has air exchange from get go as well.

Update. Spawn to monotub yesterday with rest of brf jars and black cow mix from a vendor. I also made some jars of wbs for first time. Made the lids with poly and silicone. I think I did grate. So I got agar now and pressure canner so I'm looking forward to that. Here's some pics. I got a lot of small knotting and quite a few side pins. Any advise on anything? It's been in fruiting for 4 days.

I named them Ruben and Cherise.



How do I get a more even pin set. There is also as many side pins as top. Probably 20 or so so far.

Here is my Cambodian monotub. I might of mixed my jars on accident after inocc. The other tun ( unmodified) are GT. Anyway it looks like two different kinds in there. My unmod GT started to have littlest pins. I initiated fae yesterday. Left lid upside down. When I woke up it was dry. Is that bad being like that? Should I close it at night and open during the day? Here are pics of Cambodian mono.

Have you read this thread on surface conditions?  Its probably the most helpful thread on this whole site on how to get the surface right for pinning.

Adjust to maintain those beads on the surface.  Too much FAE and it will dry.  Too much misting it will mat down. 

Since you are past the pin set stage, just give them Some FAE and watch them finish up.  Looks like you have a lot of variety in cap color!

Here's is today's pictures. Pins in a brf jar. Pins in GT unmod. Myc signs in wbs. I'm happy. Made some agar and put some aa+ Ms in them. Trying to do best I can. They are so amazing and beautiful. They are opening at a really small size. I figured they be bigger.

Here's an update. I pulled some yesterday. 2.7g dry. Very skinny and small. They matured to fast. There's more to get. Might wait one more day. The other tub has pins. They look like they will be small and skinny too.

Here is another good one. I harvested some this morning. I left some for when I get off work. I'm going to clone the big one. Picture of tub after I got them out and other tub of babies.



Why am I getting super small mature fruits.? It is Ms so I guess that's why plus maybe cause two types fighting it out? Not enough spawn to sub?
