WHat book are you currently into?

I've been reading several different series.  Destiny's Crucible, a sci-fi series that I very much recommend.  Also just finished book 3 of Commune, a post-apocalyptic series without zombies or any monsters other than just sick ass people.  Highly recommended.

So, what are you currently into, and would you recommend?

I love sci-fi and fantasy and am always looking for something entertaining for a healthy escape.

Mostly american novilists
Hunter s thompson ive always related with personality wise and writing style

hemingway, faulkner, fitzgerald, mark twain, john steimbeck,KEROUAC*, jack london, ect

I like true crime... been reading the same book for months, though. I don’t like the writing style and it’s been painful to get through, but I’m too interested in the subject matter to ditch it.

It’s called “Murder Machine” and it’s basically about the Gambino family circa 70s 80s. Specifically, a crew that’s alleged to have murdered hundreds.

I loved The Kingkiller Chronicle, they were the last books I read.

Currently reading The Uplift War by David Brin, The 3rd book in his Uplift Saga. I think it's a great series, the first book is a standalone, the rest is a continuous series from what I understand.

After this I will read the 3rd book in David Wong's JDATE series, so if you have nothing against zombie books I'd recommend starting with the 2nd book and then going back to the 1st

Read the Name of the Wind, you will not regret it.

Book of the Ancestor trilogy by Mark Lawrence. Third book is out in April. First book is Red Sister.
Has a great opening line: “It is important, when killing a nun, to ensure that you bring an army of sufficient size."

Also Worm by Wildbow is great, and free, but really long and technically a web serial not a book.

Yeah no shit! I'm hoping things will culminate in a fight between Worf and Wolverine, but it's too early to tell. Before this I read x-men law of the jungle novel, which was also good.

On the nightstand at the moment is couple of books from Michael Pollan.
Both about food and gardening.

If you like good sci-fi, The Expanse series is really good.

Also the Broken Empire series by Mark Lawrence.

Dark Tower series by Stephen King, it's a little cheesy at times but really it's just a great read.
