I live by the border and let me tell you there is a large variety of american accents. maybe not as much variation as the british considering how small the uk is but there are many different american accents. there are different canadian accents too.

Everyone in America sounds the same? You have to be kidding. We have so many different accents it's crazy. The Texas country accent is different than the Mississippi southern accent, and the cities have different accents. Boston is different than New York etc.

It doesn't mean I don't like British people. I haven't really known anyone with a British accent. I could be friends with a British person.

We have 50 states and almost all of them have different accents. America is a really big country.. I swear people dont think before they post...

For real. There are so many accents it's impossible to even discuss. Each state in itself usually has multiple regional accents within its borders. 50 states, shit adds up. I don't know how many distinct regional accents yall got in Britain, but we for sure got a shit ton in America lol.

"Facts out of my arse" bro I fuckin live here, Ive been to most the states. I don't know what to fuckin tell ya lol. Im sure it most be a similar case in Britain, no? Wales accent different from south british different from north british, rural and urban accents, some cities having very distinct accents and dialect? Is this really such a crazy thing for you to wrap your head around? Foreign regional-accents tend to blend together sometimes. But to a native speaker, it is extremely noticeable.

i dont need a study to see the drastic differences right in front of my face. ive interacted with many different types of Americans.

No way. He's blowing smoke. Certain states in this country have different accents within them. He is obviously out of his element on this one, and probably has never even been here.
