I'm not sure about good games to play, but I recommend NOT playing old NES games. When I was tripping I tried playind Mario 3 the music was so goddamn annoying that I almost threw my speakers out the window.

One word: REZ. Best psychedelic game ever. Came out on PS2 (and on Dreamcast in Japan). Get ahold of a copy of this if you get the chance.

N2O (Nitrous Oxide) for Playstation 1. This is probably one of the top 5 games ever. If you get it, use the code for 'water effect' to make it extra trippy. The music is techno (Crystal Method) so that might add to the trippiness, but if you don't like it the whole game loads on the PS1 when you put it in, so if you want you can pause the game and put in another audio CD (even CD-R's) to listen to while you play the game.

Earthbound was crazy. I bought that because it was in a big box with the guide for $20. That game has shrooms, hippies, magic cake, tea, etc. it is awesome. Too bad I traded it for some other SNES games, because it is now going for $50 on eBay.

I second that! I'm tempted to buy a PS2 just so I can play Rez! Imagine if you could load any music you wanted into the game. That'd be sweet

Amplitude on DXM = 1337, on Shrooms since I dont get them often I prefer to enjoy the experience without any "trip toys" except maybe some music..

Gamecube has some fun titles. By fun I mean silly-fun, like Pikmin. Marching little flower-people around aimlessly and beating aliens is entertaining. The music, while it suits the game, might not be to everyone's liking though.

I only played one video game while tripping in my life...my first time taking acid, my three friends who I was tripping with all wanted to play Super Smash Bros. Melee on gamecube...we have a huge rivalry between the four of us so it was real exciting, we were two hours into a mega three sugarcube trip, and we set the rules so that first one to reach 10 kills was the winner...I won the first round 9 to 1 to 1 to 1, put down the controller, and decided I had done my duty for the day, as far as videogames were concerned.
-------------------- Acid doesn't give you truths; it builds machines that push the envelope of perception. Whatever revelations came to me then have dissolved like skywriting. All I really know is that those few years saddled me with a faith in the redemptive potential of the imagination which, however flat, stale and unprofitable the world seems to me now, I cannot for the life of me shake. -Erik Davis

The first and only game a played while tripping was Super Smash Bros. for 64... I completely owned too!

Heres my list of fun games to play:
Fuzion Frenzy (especially the level Twisted System) Panzer Dragoon Orta The Suffering (combined w/ shrooms, it may be too scary for some) Chess (the board game; goes well with Requiem for a Dream soundtrack) Dungeons and Dragons ("pen and paper") GTA3 and/or Vice City
