I live in a van down by the river!
    #25757063 -

I live in a God damn mini van and guess what motherfucker I'm fucking happy and made it work.

That directed to anyone who doubted me doing this a couple years ago when I posted my idea.

I tried to make the move in April but I was still dealing with the end stage tempory psychosis.

But I fucking did it. And I'm happy. Plus I made over $1k last week working too! I keep making my minivan more and more badass.

The only complaint I have is not being able to figure out hold temperature and humidity steady in a contained box to grow mushrooms.

I thought about renting a climate controlled storage unit and for fruiting set up a PMP on a 12v battery. No maintenance required.

I'm saving around $600-$1200 month.

I really wanna set some new grows up but I don't wanna spend 1k month doing it!!

Also, bought these badass strings led lights at Walmart.

They have 3 settings. The breathing settimg is a trip and really cool.

Maybe try a large cooler, it would have better insulation.

glad to hear it. Hate it when people look down on people for living in unorthodox ways. You really don't need much to be happy

Perhaps you could focus more on outdoor grows. Be a travelling inoculation van :bliss:

What kind of minivan? What type of modifications have you made for living purposes? Where do you usually park to sleep? I'm in the market for an astrovan, but think I might settle for a dodge grand caravan.  :bongload:

2004 Honda Odyssey.

I paid $1750 for it and it had 124,000 miles.

I built a bed frame that hold my 8 " memory foam mattress & my $40 copper infused pillow in just bought.

Velcro is my favorite thing to use. I have shelves and containers velcroed to the walls also I bought some black fabric from Walmart to cover the windows and the fabric will stick to one side of the velcro so I don't have to use both pieces.

Parking is not that hard. The longer you do it the more you realize you have unlimited options.

I have a planet fitness membership so I shave/shower there, plus I can park there too.

On the interstate here off of I-70 they build 3 huge parking lots to ride share between Denver and the Rockies. 1 lot has over 900 parking spots and the other two have about 150 each.

I park here most nights. It's not too far from my job, it's right next to two 24 hr convent stores. I could park where I work now but I don't want my co workers to know I have found out too many people look down on you and judge you if your not paying $1,400/month for a studio apartment.

Be careful driving around with a grow in your van and also living in it cops might give you a hard time for being "homeless". But I think it's dope that your doing this, I want to live off the grid so bad but I'm too much of a pussy.

That's what I'm thinking.

So I'm left with either renting a room or possibly doing a climate controlled grow in a storage building? Anyone have any feedback on this?

Odyssey's are phat. Did you rip out the stow and go seating or keep it in there? Sounds like a dope set up. Did you insulate at all? Has it been cold?

A lot of people near me live in vans. If I was going to live in a van then I would do it here too. The pay is high at like $15hr min wage, nice parks, and good weather. You could save a shitload of money like that if you didn't mind that lifestyle.

Are you bathing in the river? Do you eat out for every meal? What about inviting girls back? I guess you just have to meet them at their place right

I removed the two captain chairs but the third row fold down I left them. I want to remove them for the storage area in the future for my tool bag.

I did not insulate. The cold weather does not cause any issues for me. It is the heat that I worry about. I never really get cold and I have been in -15 degree weather in blackhawk at the casinos. I run the heater before bed and have 3 or 4 blankets. If I do get cold I just start my van and warm it up, kill it, & go back to sleep.

I have a planet fitness membership. So I work out, get full body messages, and take showers for $23/month and they have locations everywhere I go.

I got tired of fast food for a bit, bought a propane burner and foldable pan and cooked for a few weeks, got tired of cooking and storing food plus started work at a convent store so I keep my frozen food there and use their microwave to eat my frozen food. Now I got money saved and I have been checking out the better restaurants since I don't spend a thousand dollars  a month on rent.

On the girls note, I been out of the dating game for a while. I having been dealing with losing custody of my daughter so I have not really gave a fuck less about some random slut like I used to. Loosing custody of my baby girl who I raised my whole life by myself right after my dad died really fucked me up bad.
