I just exposed it to fae Sunday night, and I havn't noticed a difference yet in the mycillium. I'll keep that in mind and wait a few more days before opening the container. What do you mean when you say reaching?

It's kinda hard to tell from the pic...but it looks like the mycillium is sending fingers up, reaching for air. Doesn't look too bad but I'd be sure to get the fresh air dialed in so you get a nice pin set.

Todays pic, I think I see knots forming. I opened it up today and misted the inside walls. One of the smaller side walls was almost dry... i realized that the poly wasn't stuffed as tightly as it should be on top so I redid it. Hopefully itll hold more moisture like all the others.

One thing im really noticing at this stage is that the substraight wasn't anywhere near as level as I thought it was when I mixed in the spawn. I thought I did a good job, but these pics look like rolling g hills. Aw well, I hope the pin set is even...:mushroom2::mushroom2::mushroom2:

honestly, I don't see anything... are you using a flashlight to illuminate your photos? Looks the same as your pix from a week ago, not good, but I am just a noob.  :confused:

looks like a cross between a shotgun (roger rabbit tek) and a standard mono.  The link shows the small perimeter holes open and the larger ones plugged with polyfill.  Difference being yours small ones also have polyfill.  Might just slow down the initial mycelium grow (want some CO2 buildup initially).  I usually bag the tub, with lower holes exposed, to stagnant air until totally white.  Then release for FAE.  Then its the definition of Boom.

I bagged the tub up until last Sunday night.are you suggesting I pull all the poly out of the lower holes until I see pins? I could get poly tape to recover them...
