It be cool if it was included in the taxes or something.  However, my current job, since I'm living on the boat, will send me to a doctor if necessary and there's also a medic and clinic on board that takes care of most basic illnesses and problems. At the moment I dont really need it. I'm not terminally ill and am in pretty good health. I can understand some people probably need it. I don't see why it can't be optional

this kid got a brain tumor
they spent millions and millions of dollars to keep him alive but in a state of retardation
it came back and he died obviuosly

that's what you pay for when you pay insurance
other peoples insanely rare illness and doctors fuck ups get spread around to everyone
to the point where salt water cost 300 dollars
and a bed to squeez out a baby cost 30k

so you know how to be a life guard and you can do some sewing, big deal...
