It been a few years...
    #25666884 -

Been wanting to get out of myself lately so I'm going to hopefully do a successful grow. I've has great luck in the past with several cube varieties grown on several types of substrates as well as outdoors. I figure these little PP5's should suffice, and hold up in the pressure cooker....

These are going to be cubes of the Cambodian variety grown from syringes made from one of my old prints. PF-TEK BRF (If all goes well)

Think that’s the first time I’ve seen someone use a pp5 mini round for cakes....well done, I like it.

You could also use those pp5 containers for no pour petris

Are those quarter pint/4 oz/120ml? They do make ok cakes, but the cakes are prone to drying out very easily and thus require a lot of attention. I'd highyl suggest going for a larger size.

I have had to bottom water and spray some that I have currently running, and at times give a lot of FAE of my SGFC (cracking the lid). Even then, fruit aren't as impressive as larger cakes.

One exception is this freak that is about to tip its cake over. Look at how dry these guys are:

Im in the same boat as you man. But BRF Tek would be better in 1/2 pt wide mouth jars.  Good luck

'I hear you... I've had ok luck with these 1 pt containers.

I usually do small bulk grows when I do decide to grow a few.

I'm getting ready to make some no-pour plates ysung some of these same PP5's.

I have about 30lbs of whole oats I want to like to jump off some agar wedges after I get a clean pate via a few transfers.

My goal eventually would be to come up with a couple good slants via strain isolation.  But even the MS Grows have turned out some great genetics with this Cambodian strain I first started with. The first grow s off the original print produced some strong fruits. The print I started from may have been from isolated fruits. It was a trade.

Can't wait to see how these do though. I'm not worried about them drying out at all.

If you’re doing PF tek and you have a verm layer on top of your brf the micro pore tape covering your inoculation holes are redundant. Good luck on your mycology project
