cambodian pins keep aborting!

Hey guys, Afoaf is on his first grow and he wants to know  why his cambodian cakes keep aborting? He also has 3 b+ cakes that are fruiting beautifully and are in the same sgfc as the cambodians. The b+ cakes are on they're second flush now, but right after the first b+ harvest Afoaf noticed that the pins on the cambo cakes were turning blackish. He touched the cakes and they did feel a little dry so he dunked and rolled them along with the b+ cakes. That was a week ago, and now the b+ pins are taking off, but once again the cambos produced pins and immediately aborted them. No contams, and the cakes are still nice and moist but no luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys! :thumbup:

You may have injured them when you dunked and rolled.  Maybe the mycellium was injured somehow.  Ask you "friend" if he has manipulated the cake anyway.. After you call him, post back and let us know.  You should have your answer by tomorrow :wink:

The first pins turned black so they were carefully removed before dunking. They did have a little brusing on the very top of the cakes before the dunk, but Afoaf assumed that was due to them being a little dry. They were always handled with extreme caution so I don't think he did any harm that way.

I don't have enough info to help you with the expereince I have. If you can be more specific as to what you used for substrate, details about the grow, lightin etc...

MAybe someone else can chime in with more exp than me.
