It’s hilarious that Trump complains about McCarthism since his best and probably only true friend was Roy Cohn... at least until Cohn got aids and trump abandoned him.

My statement is exactly accurate per your link.  Americans and American businesses didn't stop doing business with Russia just because we were in the midst of a Presidential campaign.  But I'll credit the mainstream media for tricking people yet again.

My current company did business with Russia in the midst of the Presidential campaign, and I was part of that.

That decision does not seem to imply that McCarthy was erong though, it essentially says it is not their place to actually pass such a judgement. That is to say they cannot question people about their political beliefs or positions unless it directly pertains to a legal matter.

I think the distinction however is mainly in the approach, which is where McCarthy was wrong, and not necessarily the underlying motivation for doing so. The inquiry should have been to who was working with the Russians to subvert our democracy, instead it became focused on who simply identified with or supported, in belief alone, their side.

Take it for what it is.


Trump probably would have loved to give Putin a penthouse - the property value of the rest of the penthouses would have skyrocketed, and Trump would have become famous in Russia where he could try to make even more money.  But Russia wasn't interested and the deal fizzled out.  No collusion.

Putin is a piece of shit and so is the whole Trump administration. This has long been in the works. Trump tower was a hot spot for Russian organized crime back in the day. The Russians bailed him out of his money troubles and now hes just a puppet put in place to make Western civilization more of a shit show than it already is.

Given that Trump is a total fucking retard this only proves that he was trying to impress Putin. It's literally directed exclusively at Putin, nobody else.

Not much we can do about it. Let's wait and see where this takes us. I'm not convinced it will prove much more than Trump being a retard, something we all already agree on, but it's been fun to watch. The best part about it all is that Trump is so fucking dumb he will continue to send out tweets like they somehow prove him right.

No.  Mueller is definitely trying to find someone working with the Russians to subvert our democracy.  But since he can't find anyone, he'll take whatever he can get, like Russians posting to Facebook.

Why would he care though? I know I've asked this before, but I can't remember your answer and it just doesn't make sense to me. Whether Trump is guilty or not what reason does Mueller care? Do you not think he's an impartial investigstor?

That doesn't make much sense to me. Who are these people and why would he care what they think? An investigstors job isn't to find someone guilty, it's to find out what happened. A prosecutors job is to find them guilty.
