I am in a minority on the shroomery, as I frequently defend the opposing side when they have a point about something or when my side make believes something about them.  I also attack my side if I think they're wrong.  People here get very confused by that and think it means I prefer the other side.

There is some evidence that Trump wanted to build a hotel or hotel(s) on Russian soil.  There was also some people on his cabinet with Russian business ties.

Perhaps nothing out right illegal.  But Russia and the west are in a cold war.  So it is illegal if it crosses into a hot war and taboo otherwise.

It seems like it's unadventurous territory and not a political climate to set precedent.  Or perhaps it is.

If Trump was JFK, we all know what sort of ride he'd go on.  JFK was soft on the Soviets.  The military wanted to invade Cuba, some wanted all out nuclear war.  And the sure as shit didn't want to lose their nuclear weapons in Turkey, like they did.

Nothing wrong at all.  Russia is now filled with Western Businesses like McDonalds, Levis, etc.

That could change.  I'm sure it is a concern about worsening tensions and economical income coming in.

We make money off the Russians and the gas heats a lot of Europe.

It would be nice if we could all get along.  But authoritarian types are usually carrying far too much emotional baggage.  Putin is an old war horse and he obviously holds grudges from the US failing the Soviets in Afghanistan and at their home. 

I think things are too tense for more Russian grasp on Eastern Europe in a cold war style.  I could be wrong though.
