Re: CNN's Jim Acosta Banned from White House [Re: TinyBee]
    #25610241 -

I’m not suggesting people be uncivil to you. I’m saying they’re well within their rights (and moral justification) to be uncivil to Trump. When Trump and other memebers of the ruling class call for civility in bad faith, it means they don’t really give a shit about civility, they just don’t want having to answer to an increasingly disaffected populace the norm. That’s why Nancy Pelosi shudders in terror when Mitch McConnell gets heckled at dinner. Their differences are superficial, they both belong to a ruling class that is widely disapproved of (Congress approval ratings in the single digits). Nancy doesn’t want the GOP held responsible for their pisspoor stewardship of our nation, because then she might be held responsible next. It’s like The Domino Theory, but for politicians.

I think the way to go is to start with civility as a baseline. But if my elected officials are gonna start wars and strip healthcare from millions, rob social security and medicare, all in the name of protecting corporate interests, then they’re my enemy. And fuck being civil towards them.

Semantics, he has been banned because he didn't follow the rules.

No worry, there's plenty of morons at CNN that can take his place.

Why release the misleading video at all then?

To prove that fake news exists, especially from the President and his people.

The "original" video told the same story.

https://www.cnn.com/2018/11/13/media/cnn-sues-trump/index.html

CNN sues, says it could happen to anybody, and that if Trump's allowed to pick and choose it set's a dangerous precedent.

This should be spicy, obviously Trump/WH should lose, but you just never know.

Acosta got booted because he asked Trump some challenging questions.  If you do that, Trump will throw a fit and maybe call you a loser, and for some reason, his idiot supporters look at that and think "There's a real good president"

Trump only want the media to report his bullshit.  He's not into explaining himself or having to tell the truth, and his idiot supporters don't even know the value in challenging political authorities.

Trump blew the case when he said reporters need to respect the presidency. It proves he did this becasue he didn’t like the question, which makes their actions unconstitutional. Another court case another loss for trump

He's not smart enough to explain himself or explain things. And so when's challenged with things that he isn't capable of answering he just lashes out.

No, those were loaded questions with slanderous accusations.    There's nothing to answer because those aren't legitimate questions.

Trump can handle himself just fine, it's Acosta that is having issues.

Then why couldn't Trump answer the question? He's such a big bad dude with such a long hard intellect, where's it at when the questions get hard?

Yep you don’t get it either. The content of the question is not a valid reason to kick him out. I just wish there was some punitive measure that could be imposed when the White House violates s reporters first amendment rights

There was nothing to answer because there wasn't a question.

Acosta wasn't searching for any answers, he was looking to slander Trump.

No, the fact that Acosta asked loaded questions wasn't the reason he got booted,
He got banned because he doesn't follow the rules with the mic.

“The rule with the mic” vs the first amendment

Good luck with that
