I won awards every year at scout camp for my troop by winning both rifle and archery competitions.  That's not saying much, but I'm fucking surgical with a .22

Just this past thursday I taught my friend's 7 and 5 year olds gun safety and how to shoot a .22lr.  We focused on gun safety and they were very good listeners and learners.

I like shooting guns too!  I have more hunting long guns than I have fingers on my right hand (all five digits present, promise).  Two winchester 70s in 30-.06, one of them in supergrade, both with leopold scopes.  A couple Mossberg scatter guns for ducks n wabbits, and some .22s for all the small game and for learning.

I am absolutely for gun ownership, it's how I eat.

That also means I have intimate knowledge of the kind of damage guns can do to a living thing.  Handguns are far less dangerous than rifles.  You're talking less than 1000lbs foot pressure vs 2800+, the damage to tissue is significantly different.

There is no point to the public having military style weapons.  Hunting arms are fine.

I have an NRA marksmanship award from when I was 12 at summer camp. Great fun. completely useless skill for living in a modern world, but then again I don’t fantasize about being a hero to my family - the guy whose gun saves everyone from zombies and the black kid knocking on the door cause his car broke down.
