Is American Nationalism okay?

There is a lot of debate around the world "nationalist." Some people think it's synonymous with racist, but that is not the case. Here is the definition from Merrium Webster.

The left likes to re-define words like racism and nationalism.

Unfortunately Americans don't like re-defined terms for PC cultural or to pacify liberal feelings.

When you say your priority is your nations culture , your talking about Native American,  African american , and Latino culture , right?

I can see why you would say that. But it's not so simple, I think.

You have people like the Irish who came to America after the revolutionary war and were treated like dogs, but they fought in the civil war to free slaves. Why is this important? Because the Irish did not initially settle in North America like the British, French, and Spanish did. Thus, they bear no responsibility for the indian relationships with England, France, Spain, and later, America. The same goes for many other people. Further, we don't bear the burdens of our fathers. We are born innocent

Also, keep in mind that 90% of the natives died from disease. Further, when America began the revolutionary war in 1775, the British allied with Tucumsa (indians) and attempted to destroy Boonville, where Daniel Boone was establishing a settlement. That means the indians declared war on American revolutionaries. Interestingly, two years prior to this, Daniel Boon's son was tortured to death by indians.

On one last note, North America was not a giant Indian Utopia. It was made up of many warring and competing tribes. The Europeans were just another tribe on the giant earth. In the beginning, we all came from Africa.

If I am wrong, is the Indian Utopia strong on immigration? Shall we pack our bags and head back to wherever our ancient ancestors came from?

It's pretty simple, US citizens have priority over non-US citizens regardless of race or ethnicity.

I didn’t see anything in the definition about citizenship status ...
my wife became a citizen in 2007 , she really values and supports Latino culture , that makes her a nationalist right ?

XUL there was no tribe of Europeans. Europeans are not homogenous. The people kf Europe spent the last 1,000 years fighting with each other, dividing the continent up into feudal states, enclaves, dutchies, districts, etc. Ireland didn’t claim land in the new world becasue it was under occupation by another European country which is actually just an aggregation of a bunch of different tribes that happen to live on the same island.

The worst and most violent wars in human history started because Europeans were fighting with other Europeans.

If this is about European culture then what’s the problem with Mexicans? Hondurans? These are European cultures just as much as ours.

Well, maybe they have some problems, but I am not too involved in South America's/central countries.

I understand that socialism has failed in Brazil, as Military dictator parties are now climbing to power. Their pledge: to stop crime.

Nationalism is for people who are failures in life but don’t want to take any responsibility for their situation. You aren’t entitled to a job In the factory your daddy worked at, and Mexicans aren’t to blame for it not being there.

We aren't entitled to shit except law, constitution, life, and liberty.
Edit: maybe not even life, depending on abortion laws......
If my whore mother puked me out, we need to learn how to survive. How to work, delay gratification if needed, and find our piece of peace.

Edit, my dad didn't work in a factory. He worked in a coal mine and then got a biology degree on his own money.

Why would I ever love my country when my country wants to lock me in a cage for possession of marijuana or psychedelics?

Why would I be proud of living in a place that does that to people?

Why would anybody want to put their country first when the government is actively trying to ruin their lives?

Our government is the biggest threat to my freedom. Not migrants or muslims or other countries..

A lot of my fellow Americans would like to kill me or imprison me.

Why should I put them before somebody from another country who respects me?

That is the definition, my natural inclination is to distrust someone who proclaims himself a nationalist, when the one making the proclamation is in a position where that should be a given.
