Most people can't pull that off. The thrill of adrenaline from confrontation is too overwhelming for their mental state to stay calm, plus a lot of people fantasize about winning against people and when they see a chance to live that moment out in real life they take it as best as they can. Hence all the people posting their ultimate pure pwnage scenario with the woman

In that situation would have just shown that I did in fact have a keyfob for the building, and I wouldn't expect to be let in without it unless the person knew me. It's not clear to me how things played out before the start of the video though.

I am white and would not be surprised at being the target of her initial reaction. You're not supposed to let in people you don't know at those types of places. But considering that, she shouldn't have been standing in the door for an extended period with it open like that. The guy wouldn't have needed to "be let in" if she had just gone out with the dog instead of hogging the doorway.

Following him up to his apartment was weird though, and calling the cops on him after it became clear that he did live there was just vindictive and the reason she did deserve to lose her job over the incident.

Yeah they were both being stupid. She had a good reason in the first place to be concerned that she might be letting in someone who didn't live there, and his reaction seemed to be that it could only because he was black. But the rule at this place is that you're not supposed to let in people you don't know, and as someone who lived there he would have known that. It could just as easily have been another black tenant asking him the same questions.

In the end I think she was the bigger jerk for calling the cops once she knew she was wrong. If she had done it earlier she would have had a good reason (guy entered without using keyfob and she doesn't know if he lives there.)
