He also could have just shown her the key fab and avoided all that, I've seen white people ask other white people if they have a fab in apartment bldgs like that to reassure themselves of their safety. Some people are just scared special needs individuals. Its best to just acommodate for them

very true but she instigated it and as he clearly says, you are not security :shrug: she is way over the line and i would personally not feel required to comply with her.

if he just showed her then she would think it is ok to impede other people because you don't think they live in your huge apartment building. it isn't like it's a triplex or something lol, she comes across as a racist bitch thats why he didn't show her.

I'd say it's personal preference as to what choice you'd make; show her fab and diffuse situation and forget about it, could add a statemnet about her behavior to hint her a lesson.

When I first bought my little condo in FL, I was pretty young, had a loud car, dressed a bit ghetto.

Anyways, I pulled in shirtless from the beach about a week after I had moved in. That condo used keycards to get into the lobby door, as I walked up there was a white lady, probably in her 60's about to go in.
She opened the door, and as I was about to grab it (with my keycard in hand), she slammed it on me.
I then used the keycard and opened the door while she stood there looking at me.
That evil woman had the never to ask me if "I had found that card in the parking lot. or stolen it from someone?"

Bitch, I paid cash for this place while you're living off your husband's shitty retirement plan. That's what ran through my head anyways. I was livid. 

I'm not a confrontational person though, and just walked around her and took the stairs up to avoid a fucked up elevator ride.

When I started dating a little hippie chic with really long dreadlocks, the same thing happened to her when she was coming in one day. I'm assuming with the same lady.

HOA condominiums are fucking hell. You own the place but you must adhere to strict rules in which everyone monitors everyone and talks shit about each other. And if you happen to break the rules, the HOA can put a lien on your paid for apartment. So happy I rent that place out to a middle aged gay man who seems to truly enjoy living there. Best financial investment of my life, but my worst social investment.
Unfortunately what happened in OP's video is really common. Not necessarily because of black people though.

Not at all. Well, maybe jealousy played a small part, but I genuinely think they were just fearful that I was trying to rob one of the apartments there.

She was being a concerned neighbor for the building. (and a bitch, but can you blame her really?) I've had people not let me into a secure apt building, but I didn't try to force my way in with no fob.:shrug:

I wouldn't 'blame her' as such, she's just a product of her environment, but I do find some people have a real tendency to be absolute sticklers for the rules, even when they're not in a position to be enforcing them. We call them 'jobsworths' back in England, and they're a bit of a pet hate of mine, right after people that try and jump queues.

I have little patience for people like that and will not let them get in my way if there's any way to avoid it.

But then, I also would never be one of those people.

Horses for courses I suppose - it's always gonna be this way when you have too many people living in too close proximity to each other.
