Two Questions: Best Way To Remove Small Drops of Water on Sub. Surface & Fan Questions

As the title states, this post revolves around two main questions.  The first being I have small drops of water puddling up on top of the substrate surface in one of my monotubs and on some of the bigger pin formations.  They seemed to prevent them from colonizing the surface as fully as possible, and I effectively dried the tub a few times and that helped quite a bit, but some of them just still stay on the surface.  Is there any effective techniques you guys have for drying the substrate surface?

Secondly, how much can I fan fruiting chambers and expose them to air in a room (i.e how long each day) without risking problems?  I was thinking some light fanning with a UV light/HEPA air filtered fan in a clean room would help a lot with the sub surface issue.

I just use a paper towel if I ever get water puddling. Is it fully colonized? If so your good to fan all u want or flip the lid upside down or even turn it upside down and giving it 1/4 a turn it let air in.

Yeah mushroom pinsets are forming a lot so its done, time for it to fruit and have water be properly distributed for future fanning and misting.  Can I paper towel the surface of the substrate INSANELY gently?  Just like not even use force at all?  Or just keep paper towelling the top of the lid as I've been doing?

Use a paper towel on the substrate. You've already had your hands all in it, it won't get any dirtier. And myc is harder to beat up than you think (you shook the fuck out of your jars) but you should still be gentle.

thanks guys, I should've done this about 3 days ago, but learning is learning!  I did it super gently and the subs looking proper now, just some of the taller pinsets are now a bit slanted but they'll grow back.
