I've found that this is the best way to collect spores (simplest):

1. Pressure cook an empty jar.
2. After pressure cooking, tighten the lid (it should have been loose while cooking).
3. Obtain mature mushroom cap.
4. Use the oven tek and place cap in bottom of jar.
5. Seal jar and wait for spores to drop (2 days to be safe).
6. Use oven tek and remove cap from jar, then re-seal.
7. Sterilize a syringe in boiling water, then suck the boiling water in to fill the syringe. Wait to cool.
8. Squirt sterile water from syringe into spore jar.

Alternate to steps 7 & 8:

Obtain a second 1/2 pint jar, fill with water to desired level, and pressure cook to sterilize. Once jar has been sterilized, removed and cooled to room temperature, use oven tek and pour sterilized water from second jar into first jar. Seal first jar, and draw syringes when needed.
