First time picking, ID needed UK *mush-noob*

Lets start with a quick hello,
I'm about as new to the forum as I am in the mushroom world. I have been interested in mushrooms for a while now and decided its time I took the next step, me and a friend of mine went for a walk around a beautiful place not far from me (midlands, England), not really expecting to find anything more of an adventure. After an hour or so we spot a few mushrooms that looked just like the photos I have seen, so we started picking, sticking to everything we have read about picking (treading carefully, not pulling the babies etc.). Once I got home I laid them on a piece of paper and numbered them as I've seen many people do.
The plan was never to eat the mushrooms I found because I don't really know what I'm looking for, this was more of an experiment to see if I am on the right tracks with the research I have done.
Now for the apology:
I'm sorry if this isn't the correct place to post this/isn't the correct way to post this. I am a newbie to the forum and the mushroom world so please bare with.
Any help I will be more than grateful for!!

So, here we go!

Habitat:
These mushrooms come from a large grassy area with slopes/hills that cows/sheep graze in these fields. No mushroom has been taken from any wooded area (although some was found around 5 yards or so from a single tree). I will upload a photo or two of the location before picked.

Gills:
The gills are dark in colour (dark brown/black) I will upload close ups

Stem:
stem length is fairly long compared to the size of the cap, beige in colour

Cap:
Diameter varies from around 1cm-2cm.the caps look beige/light brown with a smooth texture (one or two felt slimey when picked) with some spherical caps and some convex caps (see photo)

Spore print colour:
I have only done 1 spore test and it turned out very dark with a very slight purple tint.

Bruising:
I have not noticed any bruising on the mushrooms.

Like I said previous, this is my first time and I hope I have given enough information. If I have missed anything or need anything to help the identification then please tell me.

Thank you for your reply! I'm glad they have been identified. So after a bit of research they are an edible mushroom but no reason to eat it, there are no pychedelic properties of this nor do they taste good!
Thank you again for the identifying them for me.
Am I looking in the right area for psilocybe semilanceata (liberty caps)? Are the protostropharia semiglobata mushrooms known to grow in similar conditions or am I way off track?
Any help is appreciated! Thank you in advance.

Yes, and yes - you are looking in the right habitat, and you are definitely on the right track.
