Old School Runescape is all I play right now.

I have Kingdom Hearts 2 on my computer. Im thinking about getting back into that shit.

Final Fantasy X is the best game ever made.

I also played runescape for way too long. I had 99 atk str def range and hp. Yup, i botted. I would go into the wild with like 100k worth or archer gear and drop kid after kid out there mining or Slaying lesser demons. After eoc I quit forever. Now theres just too many better games to go back.

That's a big question. I'm sure video games have provided me with little bits of life experience you can't get anywhere else. Simulation is after all damn near as useful as reality. Even just driving skills. Literally I think NFS and Forza have saved my life before.

My biggest games were probably Halo and COD back in the day. Halo 2,3,4, and Modern Warfare 1 and 2. Used to have a few legit MLG people I'd play with, I tend to think I used to be pretty good. These days I can't really tolerate those kinds of games. Kinda boring and rely on me giving a shit that I'm dying. I'm more of a Zelda fan at heart. Lately I've been playing Fallout 4 and Witcher 3. Witcher 3 I'm on round 2. I actually played it before Fallout and it made it seem the gay. Not bad, just not Witcher. I'm feeling pretty hella about Red Dead 2 and Cyberpunk 2077.

Video game saved my life too bro. I don't care how geeky it is. I do agree that they teach life skills you can't get anywhere else. I learned a lot about personality, development, and courage by playing RPG games. Arcade games also have taught me how to have good manners and to never give up no matter how hard the level is, giving you a situation where you have to think critically and use EVERYTHING to your advantage. that goes to any game basically.

Because nobody wants to die without making that achievement. Even in real life

fun fact

my name on here is inspired by the abyssal whip that I dyed dark red if memory serves correctly.

Now i may be tripping but they released an update around 2012 that allowed you to dye weapons.

And this correlated with my thinking of

bloodwhip

i added the x's for jackass effect.

I play on PC now. I started on Atari which was before my time. I picked it up a big lots when I was young. Then Genisis, Game Boy, Game Gear, N64, Dreamcast (all my games were in Japanese because I the Japan model came out a year earlier), then NES, PS2, PS3, PS4 for a month, and finally PC.

Currently playing Tomb Raider. I only play games once and then move on to the next one. The only game I really go back to is Civilization. My favorite game ever is Witcher 3. I love Rock Star and Bethesda.

Not happy about no Red Dead for PC

The PC version might come later just like it did with GTA. Did Rockstar specifically say it would never get released on PC?

One that I miss is Syphon Filter for the original PlayStation, during the gameplay of which it was possible to tase people until the were literally crispy fried.
That one and, of course, the Duke Nukem games.

I've been gaming my entire life since the Atari 2600.  Way too many things to list hahah.

I'm currently playing Divinity: Original Sin 2 with plans to play fallout 76 when it hits in november.

Hows the Divinity going? It definitely has the acclaim - but I didn't get too far until I got sidetracked by the new Pillars of Eternity - and kinda have to choose one or another at any given time due to them playing so similar

I'm loving it so far.  I played the first pillars of eternity and enjoyed it but got bored about 1/3rd of the way through.  Dunno about the new pillars but the first one definitely feels a lot like the baldurs gate sort of games. Very linear almost.  Divinity has way more complexity and choices.  I love the fact that I can just as much kill my way through and actually be a bad guy as talk my way, sneak my way, etc to solve things.  No NPC is "safe" except the very very cooooorree main story progression ones.

I love that the combat is far more tactical too.  Like I have to pay way more attention to placement on the battlefield with the high ground bonus's to range and damage, the environmental combinations like lighting oil or poison on fire. I've blown my own team up so many times due to a badly aimed fire staff shot or fireball. lol.  The story is really amazing so far too.  The first divinity was good but it definitely felt like a small studio, where as this feels like what they wanted their vision to be the first time but couldn't afford to pull off.

If you want something more like a linear older CRPG stick with pillars, if you want complexity, choice and tactics where most things have no clear good vs bad outcome, go divinity.

I really enjoy the quality of the writing in Pillars/Obsidian games primarily - I wasn't particularly taken with the gameplay tbh - I never finished the first one either. The second one has some interesting ship-based mechanics I've had a good deal of fun with that cut up the linearity a bit.

I'm going to give divinity 2 another try, I think I got really wrapped up in the RPG maker feature when I first got it and didn't spend as much effort on the actual game as I should've

I also just noticed that the newer 'Definitive version' is literally twice the size as the vanilla game I have

Yeah I love Obsidians story telling.  They do a really good job.  The Larian team is right up there with em, and maybe even ahead a bit when it comes to some of the dialogue.  If you play OS2 definitely play the definitive edition if you have it/can, and instead of a custom character use one of the origin story characters.  You get them as party members but when you play as one of them you get the FULL story for that person.  Your party members will cut you out of conversations and stuff when doing their personal quests in places where its realistic.

Also, definitely have a character with the pet pal perk.  It doesn't need to be your main but the animals you can talk to throughout the game are amazingly well written with awesome voice acting.  Not to mention they can give quests or help with certain areas if you are stuck on something.  The puzzle aspect of divinity can be a bit tough if you don't want to go read guides and walk throughs.  There are lots of things where there might be a hidden way to get some special gear and only having stats at a certain level, or a specific skill, or specific race can trigger the dialogue or sequence to get it and you may not have even noticed any hints to tell you that, but a rat wandering around nearby might have clues in dialogue along with some funny story.

Skyrim and Minecraft are so good with some weed. The music on those games is just perfect for being stoned.
