Which lc recipe do most vendors use i cant get mine no matter which lc recipe i use to come out that dark what am i doing wrong? Are they using honey ?

Why do you want your LC to be dark? That just makes it harder to see what's going on in there?

Some nutrients will be dark in solution, but not all: cf. light and dark malt. And light vs dark honey. Sometimes darkness indicates better micronutrition but I don't think that is always true and ideally IMO you want good nutrition but no darkness.

Light malt seems great to me and super easy. You can add a bit of extra yeast nutrient or yeast extract if you want, or sugar but neither should be necessary depending on how far you want to take that LC.
I used to apply a lot of other substrates than malt until i received some malt extract in a trade and discovered how good and easy it actually is. Superior i'd say.

but hey i don't have a long track record of using LC.

    maybe Molasses. it is what I use for my Oyster LC and quite often ends up darker depending on how much I fill the spoon used to put in the jar. But I am not a vendor.
