The sea of shrooms is not a birthing tek it is a casing tek.

it sucks ass, all that happens is you get contaims. you must beable to steralize the casing container and you can't do that with the plastic cups. screw it.

i would have to disagree, Larry. i love the sea of shrooms tek. i'd rather split 3 cakes up into 6 cups than case the 3 cakes in one container. i seem to get more shrooms, and get them quicker. you don't have to wait for second and third flushes, because you get them all on the first. maybe a couple more on the second go around, but usually i would get everything i'm gonna get on the first one. i'd have to disagree with the sterilization thing. i don't sterilize my casing containers. i just wash them out good with soap and water, seems to work fine for me. but, some don't like the tek. try it on a couple cakes and see what you think.

I agree with Link, I don't sterilize my casing container. The most I do is rub it with an alcohol wipe and let it air dry. I don't see the container as being that much of a source of contams. I mean seriously, how many contams grow on plastic?

SOS is definitely a one flush deal. You're using so little substrate in each cup that it's going to be all gone after the first flush. Those hungry little mushie buggers. :wink:

I think it's a great tek. I prefer to use straight vermiculite for the casing layers. Seems to work very well, and it's easy.
