Weird looking. If you don't think it is contaminated I would think it is safe to eat.

I had a few of those uglies recently. Kind of started out like the cap was pulling away from the veil in one small spot at a very early age. Never let them grow to maturity. I see they're quite the ugly looking mushrooms!
I'm not sure what causes it, but I've heard it discussed before.
