Nice pics dude!!!!

I've heard of people having problems with putting the cakes directly on the perlite. Have you had any probs??????? I'm planning to use the same method, hence the curiousity.

Wrapping the side of the container with some tape, newspaper, anything to block the light out might help you out...I can see in the first pic that some of those shrooms are growing kinda funky...a problem that often arises from side light sources...

Traumatick, I've been putting them on perlight since day 1 of my growing efforts with out any problems. When I first started the terarium was just a styrofoam cooler with perlight on bottom and suran wrap lid. So I would have to say "from my experiance" there doesn't seem to be a problem.

Perhaps next batch I'll put them on something to see if I notice any differance.

Loppo, The cake in the right front had some fruits growing before I upgraded the air pump. Previous airpump seemed to have been less than optimal, and I believe that is the reason for the funky growth, all the new fruits seem (since pump change) seem to be doing rather well :smile:
