Indian or monks cress?

For me it was a bit invasive. When I moved into my present apartment, there was this big container on our terrace with the Indian/monks cress in it. Took a long time of weeding out the seedlings to finally get rid of it. They even came poking through the wooden planks on our terrace, so they seemingly don't need much to thrive.

No I have never eaten this plant. I used to think wrongly that it was slightly poisonous, but I just learned you can actually eat different parts of the plant. Oh well, I replaced it with rhubarb and horseradish so I'll eat that.

mmcc, that is a Tropaeolum species aka nasturtium.
The flowers and leaves are edible and have a peppery taste.

The bottom looks like Carolina Horsenettle. Those flowers if pollinated will turn into little stripped tomatoes that native birds enjoy. Quail, turkey, etc.

Quite poisonous.
