Kyle Kulinski OWNS Chris Stigall on Fox News
    #25373857 -

Kyle Kulinski just destroys Chris Stigall on Fox News.  The one part that gives Fox a point is where they interject a short clip of a democratic candidate (Cori Bush) who wasn't ready for a simple tax question (the answer should simply have been the rich should pay more than they are today).  But otherwise, Fox looks moronic.

The is a video about whether Democrats are going too far left.  The answer is clearly no.

--------------------
I am in a minority on the shroomery, as I frequently defend the opposing side when they have a point about something or when my side make believes something about them.  I also attack my side if I think they're wrong.  People here get very confused by that and think it means I prefer the other side.

Immediately after the disastrous clip with Cori Bush, Kulinski is asked, "Is that the future of the Democratic party?"

Because of the context, the question sounded like it meant..."Is some silly sounding lady who cannot handle herself the future?"

It was a dirty trick.  FOXNEWS is a propaganda outfit that exists to manufacture approval for the current military empire/robber baron age we live in.

Kyle has none of it, says 'Yes" as if the question was about the clip's interview topic...taxing the wealthy more...and moves on.

The problem today for the left is they are way too far out of touch with the radical social issues.  This turns too many people off when it comes to the basic questions of wealth inequality.

The issue of taxation can't be discussed in 2 minutes on TV, it's too complicated.

"The problem today for the left is they are way too far out of touch with the radical social issues. "

Like what social issues?  What radical social issues does Bernie Sanders, Alexandria Ocasio Cortez, or Kyle Kulinski advocate?

It's not the leadership in the Democratic party that's so much the issue, it's mostly the movements that support them.

I don't understand what you mean.  Did you watch the video?  As Kyle said, polls show "the American people overwhelmingly support Medicare for All, they overwhelmingly support free college, they overwhelmingly want to end the wars.  So when you go issue for issue, the American people are actually with the far left".

It can be discussed in 5 seconds:  We need to raise taxes on the super rich.

No disagreement there on those issues listed above, the problem is "the far left" also goes off into radical positions that put them into a very small minority. That's what ultimately destroys their overall platform.

You can give medical and schooling to citizens without going too far left. Obviously Americans want that, it's common sense. And you can give those without becoming socialist or communist. That whole clip got derailed over the law enforcement comment. Which is weird because many people on this site tout abolishing law enforcement and ice. And even tout open borders... so i wonder if its really made up or not

You'll need to provide an example of a position the far left takes that destroys their overall platform.

I'm talking about a position that the majority of the far left supports, not some dumb extremist position that Faux News likes to pretend is representative of the entire far left, like what Chris tried to feed you in the video above where he mentioned "abolishing law enforcement".

"It's not the leadership in the Democratic party that's so much the issue, it's mostly the movements that support them."

That's a pretty nebulous fear.

Can you be a bit more precise?  What movements?  What do they want?

This 'Justice Democrat' movement's core demands are tuition free post secondary, a federal jobs guarantee, public health insurance and a livable minimum wage.

You can't support that because some other people who support it also have some ideas you don't like?

Obviously, the immigration debate is the great divider here. As soon as they suggest that they want to divide the social services pie with immigrants, the whole issue turns into a shitfest.

You can't advocate for more social services and unlimited immigration at the same time, the vast majority of the American people won't buy it.

We all know the pie is finite in nature, if you're also suggesting you think an unlimited amount of people should have access to it, why should I sign on with that plan?  It doesn't make sense.

What social services are you referring to? Legal immigrants aren't entitled to the majority of social services, including food stamps Medicaid. Illegal immigrants have access to precisely none of the major social services that are traditionally discussed. The exception for illegal immigrants is public school. It's been that way for like 20 years.

Editet to add the school note.

Obviously you do. If you are buying Trump's line about social services being provided to illegal immigrants then I'm not fooling anybody, you are fooling yourself by buying into that bullshit.

We should not forget that immigrants who work here pay the same taxes as everybody else, yet they aren't privy to the social services. They are paying your way, qman.

Open borders is NOT a mainstream far left position.  You've been duped.

Here is a Fox News summary of Corez's positions, for example:

Note that open borders isn't on the list.

It doesn't matter what Cortez's positions are.

There are Cortez supporters who have  ideas of their own.  That's what matters.

At least according to one average voter here.

So, no public health insurance for USA, no livable minimum wage,  the student loan crisis will continue, and permanent war will continue.

Yup.  So long as people (like qman) are easily duped, the country can't move forward.

Really, working for cash under the table is paying "the same taxes as everybody else"?  I don't think so.
