Awesome.  Thanks for the responses.  I'll be taking notes.  :wink:

It actually took me a while to like beer at all.  I started out with really sweet stuff like Mike's and Smirnoff and shit like that.  I only moved on to beer when it was the only thing alcoholic left.  But I ended up really liking most of the stuff out there, and I can't drink any of that sweet stuff anymore without getting queasy.

I guess stouts like guiness are just an acquired taste inside another acquired taste.  I had the same problem with coffee, and now I don't think I could live without it!  I think I'm just going to try stouts until I start liking them, because I know I'm missing out.

I'll get my boyfriend to pick up murphy's the next time we're out scouting for a new beer.  And the mixes sound like they would help a whole lot. 

And yeah, Adom, I don't know....but there was just this really really strong lime aftertaste the first time I drank it...maybe it was a taste combination of the beer and the weed.  It was really good weed... :stoned:

Thanks guys!  When I can finally appreciate guiness, I'll be sure to let you all know.

I think Guiness tastes like water.

I prefer stronger tasting beer, like Grolsch.

Guinness is about the only kind of beer my lady will drink. She can't stand watery, light beers. I was pretty surprised that she took to it as she did. It's lot of fun watching the bar keep's face when she goes up and orders pints of Guinness for us.... they're not expecting it.

don't get me wrong, Murphy's is awesome stout, I love it. But there's something about guiness.
